About Happy Dragon
Happy Dragon is a Chinese restaurant located at 750 Westfield Road in Noblesville, Indiana (zip code 46062). As a local establishment in the Chinese restaurant category, Happy Dragon offers a menu of familiar Chinese dishes. They can be contacted at (317) 774-2288 or via their mobile number +1 317-774-2288 for inquiries or to place orders.
Based on the available customer reviews, the overall sentiment regarding Happy Dragon is overwhelmingly negative, with significant concerns raised about the quality and taste of the food, as well as issues related to pricing and customer service. One reviewer described the food as "NOT good" for typical Chinese cuisine. They found their General Tso's chicken to be bland and lacking in flavor. Their fiancée's order of chicken and snow peas, which was pictured online with a white sauce, arrived with a brown sauce that tasted excessively salty. Furthermore, they reported being charged the full price of a meal for each person when they requested to upgrade their white rice to fried rice. The total cost for the two of them was $42, which they felt was exorbitant given the poor quality of the food. This reviewer concluded that there was "no pride in their product" and strongly suggested that others drive to Carmel to visit China Express instead, explicitly stating they would never return to Happy Dragon and considered it one of the worst Chinese food experiences they had encountered.
Another customer shared an equally negative experience, detailing an order totaling $60 worth of food that was also deemed "not good." They specifically mentioned that the chicken was cold, flavorless, and so chewy that it was barely edible. This reviewer also reported contacting the restaurant about the issue but received no resolution or assistance. As a result, they vowed never to eat at Happy Dragon again, indicating a severe level of dissatisfaction with both the food quality and the customer service response to their complaint.
The strong and consistent negativity in these reviews makes it challenging to objectively describe any positive aspects of the food at Happy Dragon. The specific complaints about bland General Tso's chicken, overly salty brown sauce, cold and chewy chicken, and flavorless dishes paint a picture of significant shortcomings in the kitchen's preparation and quality control. The discrepancy between the online representation of a dish (chicken and snow peas with white sauce) and what was actually received (brown sauce) also suggests potential issues with menu accuracy or consistency in cooking.
Similarly, the service experiences described in the reviews are far from satisfactory. The upcharging policy for fried rice, where customers were charged the full meal price for a substitution of a side, appears unreasonable and suggests a lack of flexibility or customer-friendly pricing practices. The complete lack of resolution when a customer complained about cold and inedible chicken indicates poor customer service and a failure to address legitimate concerns. The dismissive tone of one reviewer, who implied that positive reviews must come from those with limited experience of decent Chinese food, further underscores the negative perception surrounding the food quality at Happy Dragon.
The reviews provide no positive information about the environment of Happy Dragon. The lack of any comments on the ambiance, cleanliness, or decor suggests that these aspects were either unremarkable or overshadowed by the negative experiences with the food and service. It is reasonable to assume that Happy Dragon offers standard dine-in and takeout services, common for most Chinese restaurants. Delivery options are not mentioned in the provided reviews, so their availability is unknown.
No features of Happy Dragon are positively highlighted in the available feedback. The menu likely includes typical American-Chinese dishes, as evidenced by the mention of General Tso's chicken and chicken and snow peas. However, the execution of these dishes, based on the reviews, appears to be subpar. The pricing, while initially seeming reasonable based on the variety of options one might expect from a Chinese restaurant, was perceived as excessive by one reviewer given the poor quality of the food and the unusual upcharging policy. The lack of any mention of unique or standout dishes suggests that Happy Dragon does not offer any particularly noteworthy culinary features.
There is no information about any promotional offers or special deals at Happy Dragon in the provided reviews. Given the strong negative feedback regarding the core aspects of food quality and customer service, it is unlikely that any promotions would significantly alter the overall negative perception without addressing these fundamental issues. Local users would need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about any potential discounts or special offers, but the existing reviews strongly suggest caution.
In conclusion, the available customer reviews paint a bleak picture of Happy Dragon in Noblesville. Multiple customers have reported significant issues with the taste and quality of the food, including bland dishes, excessively salty sauces, and cold, chewy chicken. Additionally, concerns have been raised about unreasonable pricing policies for substitutions and a lack of satisfactory customer service when complaints were made. The environment and specific features of the restaurant are not mentioned positively, and no promotional information is provided. Based on this feedback, local users seeking a satisfying Chinese meal are strongly advised to consider alternative options, as suggested by one reviewer who recommended driving to a different establishment in a neighboring city. The consistent and strong negativity in the reviews serves as a significant warning about the potential dining experience at Happy Dragon.

Customer Reviews
The food here is NOT good, for your typical Chinese food. My general tso chicken was bland and lacked flavor. My fiancée ordered chicken and snow peas, in which the picture showed a white sauce, and it came in a brown sauce that tasted like pure salt. We wanted to upcharge our white rice to fried rice, and was charged a full meal price for each. For the two of us, it was 42 dollars, and the food was pretty nasty. No pride in their product. I highly suggest driving to carmel and going to China express. Edit: Just wanted to say, there's zero chance I return here. Definitely one of the worst Chinese food experiences I've had. And for the people reviewing this saying the food here is delicious, you're trifling and clearly haven't had any halfway decent Chinese food.
We ordered $60 worth of food and it was not good. The chicken was cold, flavorless and so chewy you could barely eat it. I called and they did nothing. I will never eat there again.
The restaurant was quite small with only a few (maybe 5) tables. Our order was taken quickly and the food was a great price. I went with a group of three and ordered the super popular platter. The food took around 20 minutes to be prepared, which is to be expected when everything is made to order. We got so much food for a great price. You could definitely feed a family of four with all the food we got. Everything we ordered was delicious.
I have never encountered such poor service as I did at this place. They answer the phone to take another order while you’re still trying to give them yours. We decided to dine in, and the plates were made of melamine, which caused one of them to break, creating a huge mess on the table. Lastly, we asked for boxes to take the leftovers (nobody finished their food because it wasn’t really good), and they gave us tiny dessert-sized boxes. This made no sense because we saw them give regular-sized to-go boxes to someone else afterward.
We’ve been regulars for years! Spring roles are sometimes hit or miss thus only 4 stars there, rest is amazing!
