Came here with a Chinese friend who said this was an authentic place for Chinese food. They had Chicken Feet, pork baos, a pork gravy. I had a Cucumber appetizer, a tofu gravy which was served with rice. A dessert which was tapioca in sweetened coconut milk. We also had flower tea. The food was so so good. Service was reasonably quick. Price is justified. Definitely recommend the place.

So welcoming and great service delighted us with really great food at reasonable prices. Each dish was carefully prepared, served hot, and so tasty! An example of attentive service: I was struggling trying handle the scallion pancake with my chopsticks. Without my asking, the waitress showed up with knives and forks for each of us at the table. The photos show orange chicken, Chinese broccoli, Mongolian fried beef, egg rolls (vegetarian), scallion pancakes, shrimp dim sum, crab dim sum. Another great thing about this restaurant is that it is just a few doors up the street from ROSE AVENUE BAKERY. Leave some room after your meal at Han Palace to top things off with a goodie from Rose Avenue.

We’ve been here a few times. Would recommend the peking duck, hot and sour soup and chicken feet. The shrimp dim sum is ok. This time we had the scallop dim sum, which had a tough and chewy wrap and barely any scallops, mostly shrimp. Tofu wrap dim sum had way too much tofu to meat ratio. The cai lan/Chinese brocoli was super tough (probably on the older side) and definitely needed to be cooked more. Dong po rua (braised pork belly) was very tender but too salty, and it seems they used the same sauce to marinate roasted duck to make it, which is kinda weird, but not bad. Overall decent for a Chinese place near the zoo.

We got the soup dumplings, braised pork, bean curd with oyster sauce (not pictured), and crispy eggplant. I was disappointed with the soup dumplings. Almost no soup, but the flavor and filling to dough ratio was still really good. Crispy eggplant was wayyyyyy too crispy. Everything else was made perfectly!

First impression: An older female asian waitress was angrily yelling at a brown younger waiter. The xiaolongbao seems it has been steamed for several times and there is no soup inside left. (Trust me newly steamed xiaolongbao doesn’t look like this) The peking duck wrap was not authentic, they were very dry and thick. dry beef chao fun was extremely salty Was gonna give 2 but I guess if we did not have such high expectations, we would not be so disappointed, so fairly giving a 3 considering everything.
