I was craving something fresh and spicy and Han Dynasty was perfect! The garlic pork was so delicious and tangy, I got some eggplant that was perfectly cooked with balanced heat, and finally the dumplings with chili oil! All of it was perfect. If I lived here, I would be here all the time. Thank you for a lovely meal and pleasant service.
We enjoyed the food. Some dish might be quite oily but they were warm and fresh. Nice service.
Hearing about this place from so many UPenn staff and students, I was excited to give them a try. I stopped by on several occasions- two weekdays and two weekends- to give myself multiple opportunities to review. The food was generally tasty, though like the service, it was inconsistent. I received different portions of the same dishes for the same cost, and their service is a gamble of whether you will get a server who cares versus one who thinks you should be grateful for their presence. The best thing about the restaurant is the atmosphere. It's trendy and looks cool, looking its best at night for dinner. For the price, I can see why students would like it. But it would be great if they can reel in a more consistent food portion and presentation and service standard.
Think of this like Chinese fast food, it’s pretty good (definitely better than the typical American Chinese takeout) I’ve had their vegetarian Dan Dan noodles and mapo tofu that are both delicious, I highly recommend that- I would give it a 4 star but This time I tried the Kung Pao tofu and cumin tofu and it was good but the tofu on both dishes were wayyy too dry. I think they fried it before hand and maybe when they fried it the second time it just dried it out. At least the kungpao had some sauce so it helped a bit but my palate was tender by the end of the meal from the dry and sharp tofu. The atmosphere is not a place I would bring parents who are coming in from out of town or my girlfriend, but a spot I would hang casually with friends after work or classes. If based on my previous experience I would give it a 4.5 but this past time was truly a 3. They do give good portions for the price so I’ll give it a middle range of 4 out of 5 stars.
The food is really good. Both veg and non veg are really good which kicks the spice buds in you. We have been going to this locations for many years. Have both dine In and take aways.Recently we have see the staff standing at counters behaviour is low and un welcoming to the guest. Hope the owners make a look into it to make some improvements.
