Amazing and Affordable... My family and a few friends were outside for a few hours on a snowy Sunday, and hunger started striking us. We all were searching for nearby places to treat ourselves, but either the prices were too high or reviews were below 4. However, luckily, one of us noticed this place with good reviews, fair prices and lovely pictures, and then decided to take a chance. We were fortunate enough to find a parking spot at the back of the building, where there were a few slots dedicated to the retail stores in that building. We loved the atmosphere when we entered and then saw a perfect half-circled table around the corner for five of us. We took about 10 minutes to go through the menu and ordered 5 different dishes, and waited eagerly. In 15-20 minutes, food started arriving to our table and first, we were over the moon by seeing the portion size, and then were euphoric by the taste. I'd say we managed to finish all the dishes (usually we order more) and our taste buds were overflowing. Staff has been super friendly, helpful and efficient. The only flip side was, most of the drinks on the menu weren't available, other than the mango lassie, which I'd not recommend. Ohh I should mention, the music made our outing even happier and memorable.
I’ve visited Hakka Boys Restaurant in Mississauga many times, and it has never disappointed! Every dish I’ve tried has been delicious, with fresh ingredients and amazing flavors. I especially recommend their soups and fried rice—they’re simply the best! The noodles are also a standout, cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice. The service is always friendly and quick, making every visit enjoyable. If you’re a fan of Hakka cuisine, this place is a must-try
HAKKA boyz is a Southern Indian cuisine restaurant boasting a bright and modern design. Upon entering, patrons order and pay at the counter, with options for takeout or dining in. To sample their staple dishes, we availed ourselves of the lunch specials, selecting Veg Manchurian N Veg Noodles and Chilly Chicken N Mix Veg Noodles. The manchurian balls exhibit a moderate level of heat, while the chilly chicken pieces are palatable. The option to choose between thick and thin noodles for chowmein is available. Both dishes are served hot, showcasing the hallmark flavors of wok cooking. The incorporation of basmati rice in the fried rice dish is a highlight, given my appreciation for this aromatic, long-grain rice and its unique texture and flavor profile. In addition to our order, we also had deep-fried chicken momos, whose fillings were somewhat spicy but flavorful. These momos evoked memories of the momos I had savored in India. Interestingly, the widespread popularity of momos in India is often linked to the Tibetan diaspora that settled in the country after 1959, bringing their traditional recipes and culinary customs with them. Since 1959, a significant number of Tibetans migrated to India, primarily to areas such as Dharamshala and other northeastern states. These Tibetan people brought their culinary traditions, including momos, to their new homes in India. As a result, momos, especially the steamed varieties, became increasingly popular in India, particularly in the northern regions, due to their simplicity and affordability. I ordered a Cardamon chai as a finishing touch to my meal. Bit disappointed that the chai is not made from clay pot and instead it came out from a machine. The taste is totally different from the authentic chai in India. I still really love the chai which the vender in India boiled it in pot and poured in clay cups. It is so soothingly refreshing even in a hot day. Usually the cost is only 20 rupee (C$0.35) each. The most entertaining part is that I can deliberately shatter the clay cups on the ground; however, please be assured that these broken clay pieces will be recycled to produce new clay cups. Generally speaking, the culinary experience at Hakka Boyz was decent. If you enjoy spicy Indian food and value a relaxing ambiance, then it could be a viable option.
