About H&K Peninsula
Welcome to H&K Peninsula, a newly discovered gem in the vibrant culinary landscape of San Francisco. Situated conveniently at 3565 Geary Blvd, this Chinese restaurant offers a delightful and affordable dining experience for local residents and visitors alike. Whether you're craving a satisfying lunch, an extensive dim sum feast, or a memorable dinner with loved ones, H&K Peninsula is poised to become your new go-to destination for authentic Chinese cuisine.
Stepping into H&K Peninsula, you'll be greeted by a spacious and inviting atmosphere. Unlike the often-cozy confines of typical Chinese restaurants, H&K Peninsula boasts a banquet hall-like setting, providing ample room for diners to relax and enjoy their meals comfortably. This generous space makes it an ideal choice for accommodating large groups, family celebrations, and even casual get-togethers with friends.
For those seeking a delectable midday treat without breaking the bank, H&K Peninsula offers reasonably priced lunch rice plates, currently around $15. These plates provide a satisfying and flavorful option for a quick and convenient meal during your busy day. The menu features classic Chinese dishes prepared with a focus on fresh ingredients, allowing the natural flavors of the vegetables and meats to shine through, rather than being overpowered by heavy sauces. Even the simple pleasure of their white rice has garnered positive mentions for its superior taste.
A major highlight of H&K Peninsula is their enticing All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) Dim Sum promotion, currently priced at an incredibly affordable $25.99 per person, with an additional $1.50 charge for tea. This special offer, valid as of April 5, 2025, presents a fantastic opportunity to sample a variety of classic dim sum dishes without worrying about individual item costs. While the dim sum selection might be slightly less extensive compared to some other establishments, the AYCE format provides excellent value for money, especially for those new to dim sum or simply looking for a budget-friendly option.
Customer reviews offer valuable insights into the dining experience at H&K Peninsula. One recurring theme is the exceptional service provided by the restaurant's team, consistently earning high praise (10/10 in one review). The staff is attentive and friendly, contributing significantly to a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Regarding the food itself, opinions are generally positive, especially considering the affordable price point. While one reviewer noted that some dishes might be a "hit or miss" in terms of seasoning and texture, they still found most items to be "consumable." Specific dishes mentioned include the Chicken Feet, which were described as a bit over-seasoned and sweet but still enjoyable, and the Mango Pudding, which received a perfect 10/10 rating with no complaints. The Rice Noodle Rolls were appreciated for their texture, although the fillings (shrimp, beef, BBQ pork) were suggested as areas for potential improvement.
Another enthusiastic customer highlighted the "lighter" taste of the food compared to other Chinese restaurants, emphasizing the ability to taste the fresh vegetables and meat rather than just heavy sauces. They also raved about the deliciousness of their dinner selections, which included ginger crab, pea sprouts, and Singapore noodles, noting the generous portions and overall quality. The paper menu format, where diners can mark their desired dishes, was also appreciated.
While H&K Peninsula might still be a relatively new establishment, yet to be discovered by the wider San Francisco community, it presents a compelling option for those seeking affordable and tasty Chinese cuisine in a spacious and welcoming environment. Its capacity to accommodate large groups makes it perfect for family dinners, celebrations, and gatherings of any size. With its attractive AYCE Dim Sum promotion and reasonably priced lunch specials, H&K Peninsula offers excellent value for money.

April 5, 2025- Saturday. Second time coming here since the price is super affordable. As of April 5, 2025- they're having a promotion of ACYE Dim-Sum for $25.99+$1.50 (Tea/person). Overall, the food was okay- not the best but you pay for what you get. My personal favorites: CHICKEN FEET- It was a bit over seasoned and too sweet, but still good. MANGO PUDDING- 10/10, no complaints RICE NOODLE ROLLS- I enjoyed the texture of the noodle rolls, however the filling shrimp/beef/BBQ pork could be improved. ==================================================== Everything else on the menu is consumable but it's more of a hit or miss- either the skin is too soggy/gooey or the inside is overly seasoned/overly cooked. If you're looking for affordable Dim-Sum or it's your first time- definitely would recommend it for what you're paying. The service and the team is 10/10. If they could improve on the food quality, I could see this place doing big things!
My new favorite neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Don’t let the huge size of the restaurant intimidate you for a Chinese restaurant. It looks like a banquet hall, but they have reasonably priced lunch rice plates for $15- Also AYCE dim-sum for $25 during certain hours and days. The dim sum variety is less but it’s still AYCE. I like how their menu is a paper menu to mark your dishes. The food is not like other places. I’m not sure exactly why, the food tastes lighter. Sure you still get the same typical Chinese dishes but the instead of tasting just the sauce you actually taste the fresh vegetables and meat. The white rice even tastes better than other places. Its new, so not crowded at because not so many people know about it but it’s a perfect place for large groups or family dinners. It’s crab season, so we had the ginger crab, pea sprouts and Singapore noodles. Nice portions and all delicious!
I literally think this is the BEST Chinese food in the bay!!! Their Sweet and Sour pork is an absolute must, but I swear everything is good (We tried the green beans, egg tofu with mushrooms, beef chow fun, and salty fish eggplant hot pot. Portions are huge, service is amazing, quality is incredible! It’s a gorgeous space with plenty of seating (also accommodating large parties)! I’m obsessedddd
Big portions and service was great! The waiters were really kind to give us a tour of the karaoke rooms which they renovated (previously Grand Hot Pot Lounge). The lighting system is very impressive, plus you can eat while you karaoke!
What an unexpectedly amazing experience! We discovered a hidden gem in San Francisco—a new Chinese restaurant that took us by surprise with its incredible food. This spot has quickly become a favorite in the Richmond District. Standout dishes include the sea bass, honey walnut shrimp, black pepper chicken, and their delicious selection of soups.
