About Green Tea

Welcome to Green Tea, your local Chinese restaurant situated at 7205 Waters Ave in Savannah, Georgia. As a dedicated establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category, Green Tea strives to provide the community with a diverse range of Chinese cuisine, focusing on convenience and, according to some long-term patrons, freshness.

Green Tea operates as a drive-through Chinese restaurant, a unique feature that caters to individuals and families seeking a quick and easy way to enjoy their favorite Chinese dishes without leaving the comfort of their vehicles. This drive-through service emphasizes efficiency and accessibility, making it a convenient option for busy individuals or those on the go. Simply place your order at the window and receive your freshly prepared meal promptly.

According to one long-time customer, Green Tea stands out for its commitment to preparing all dishes fresh upon order. This suggests a focus on quality ingredients and a departure from pre-made meals, which can significantly enhance the flavor and overall dining experience. This positive feedback highlights the potential for Green Tea to be a go-to spot for those who value freshly cooked Chinese food, even within a fast-service model.

However, it is important to present a balanced perspective based on available feedback. Another customer shared a significantly less favorable experience, describing their meal as the "worst Chinese fast food" they had encountered in some time. This review mentioned issues with the quality of specific dishes, including "slimy lettuce," bland General Tso's chicken, and soggy, freezer-burned dumplings. This feedback raises concerns about consistency in food preparation and quality control. The reviewer also expressed disappointment with the value for money spent.

It's worth noting that while one review praises the freshness and quality over a decade of patronage, another reports significant issues with freshness and taste in a recent experience. This disparity in reviews suggests that experiences at Green Tea may vary. Potential customers might want to consider this range of feedback when making their decisions.

To get a comprehensive understanding of what Green Tea offers, it would be beneficial to explore their menu options. While the provided information doesn't detail specific dishes, typical Chinese restaurant menus often include a variety of popular items such as:

  • Fried Rice (available with different proteins like chicken, beef, shrimp, or vegetables)
  • Noodle Dishes (such as Lo Mein, Chow Mein, and various soup noodles)
  • Poultry Dishes (including General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and Sweet and Sour Chicken)
  • Beef and Pork Dishes (like Beef with Broccoli, Mongolian Beef, and Sweet and Sour Pork)
  • Seafood Options (such as Shrimp with Lobster Sauce or Garlic Shrimp)
  • Vegetarian Dishes (including tofu and vegetable stir-fries)
  • Appetizers (like spring rolls, egg rolls, dumplings – both fried and steamed – and crab rangoon)
  • Soups (such as wonton soup, egg drop soup, and hot and sour soup)

Given the drive-through format, the menu is likely designed for efficient preparation and packaging. Customers can likely expect standard takeout containers suitable for enjoying their meals at home or elsewhere.

Regarding the environment of Green Tea, as it primarily functions as a drive-through, there may not be a significant dine-in area to describe. The focus is likely on the functionality of the drive-through service and the efficiency of the kitchen operations. Customers can expect a setup that facilitates quick order placement and pickup.

In terms of services, the primary service offered is the drive-through for convenient ordering and pickup. Customers can likely place their orders directly at the drive-through window. It might be worthwhile to inquire if phone orders are accepted for even quicker pickup. The provided contact information includes a phone number: (912) 691-0330, and a mobile phone number: +1 912-691-0330. Customers can use these numbers to potentially place orders or inquire about the menu and hours of operation.

Features of Green Tea, based on the available information, include:

  • Drive-Through Convenience: Offering a quick and easy way to get Chinese food.
  • Potentially Freshly Cooked Meals: At least one reviewer highlights the made-to-order nature of the food.
  • Established Presence: The mention of a customer being a patron for over a decade suggests a long-standing presence in the community.

However, potential drawbacks to consider based on the negative review include potential inconsistencies in food quality, issues with freshness of certain ingredients, and the possibility of some dishes being bland or poorly prepared. These points underscore the importance of individual experiences and the need for Green Tea to maintain consistent quality across their menu.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided text. To learn about any special offers, discounts, or new menu items, it would be best to contact Green Tea directly using the provided phone numbers or by visiting their location at 7205 Waters Ave, Savannah, GA 31406, USA.

In conclusion, Green Tea is a Chinese restaurant in Savannah, GA, primarily operating as a drive-through. While it has garnered praise from some long-term customers for its freshly prepared food, recent feedback indicates potential concerns regarding food quality and consistency. Customers looking for a convenient Chinese takeout option in the area may want to consider the varied experiences reported and perhaps try a few different dishes to form their own opinion. For the most up-to-date information on their menu, hours, and any ongoing promotions, contacting Green Tea directly is recommended.

This is one of my favorite places to eat hands down@ It's a drive-through Chinese restaurant, but they make all the dishes on the menu fresh every time! The food is excellent, and I've been a patron for over a decade!

Honestly the worst Chinese fast food I’ve had in awhile, threw my slimey lettuce meal directly in the trash (where it belongs) when I got home and opened it. Not worth the $60 I paid for three meals. General tso chicken is bland, not spicy at all, “fried” dumplings are soggy and taste like they’ve been freezer burned for weeks. Guess I’ll have some leftovers I’ll throw away in a few days after I forget about this waste of time and money. At least the rice isn’t terrible.

This was the WORST Chinese place I have EVER eaten to in my WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE!!!!! I don’t usually leave reviews but here you go. I wanted to eat somewhere that I KNOW is good. My husband decided that Green Tea was really good. So we chose to eat there. When we got home and I opened the box (fried chicken and fried rice) the food smelled BURNT. I tasted it because I thought I was tripping. I tasted it and it tasted BURNT!!! We called back up to the place and talked to a lady. She was nice about getting our information to redo our order. After we hung up a man called me back. First of all he didn’t even say hello he started asking for a ticket #. My husband provided him with the number. Then he said he needs a picture. He also said we should always take a picture for any restaurant. I told him I worked in a restaurant before and we NEVER needed a picture to remake anyone’s food. Who is saving food for a picture when they need to hurry up and feed their children. He was VERY RUDE and tried to over talk us the whole time. FINALLY I told him don’t worry about giving us NOTHING!!!! We won’t be back EVER AGAIN. I recommend you to take your money somewhere else. IT WAS DISGUSTING 🤢 🤮 1/25/2025
