As a part of the local Chinese restaurant scene, Green Tea Kitchen aims to provide a variety of Chinese dishes to the community, catering to those seeking both convenience and familiar flavors. While specific details about the restaurant's ambiance and comprehensive services are limited, customer reviews offer some insights into their offerings.

Services Offered:

Based on the available customer reviews, Green Tea Kitchen offers takeout services, as one review mentions placing an order. Additionally, one customer specifically highlighted an instance where the owner went above and beyond by personally delivering their dinner during snowy weather. This suggests that Green Tea Kitchen may offer its own delivery service, at least under certain circumstances. It's advisable for local users to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about their current delivery options and service area.

Features and Menu Highlights:

The limited customer feedback provides a glimpse into some of the dishes offered at Green Tea Kitchen:

  • Chicken Lo Mein (1/2 size): One customer ordered a half-size portion of chicken lo mein and described it negatively as "just noodles with soy sauce," suggesting a lack of flavor and other ingredients.
  • Crab Puffs (1/2 size): The half-size crab puffs were reported to contain "no crab," indicating a significant issue with the filling.
  • Sesame Chicken (1/2 size): The half-size sesame chicken was criticized for barely having any chicken, being mostly batter.

One positive review from a long-time customer mentioned "consistently excellent food" over the years. This suggests that the quality might have varied or that different dishes may be of higher standard. The fact that this customer had been ordering for years implies a degree of satisfaction at some point. However, their positive comment did not specify which dishes they typically ordered.

The negative review also mentioned the unavailability of full-size portions for the items they wanted, leading to a higher cost for the half-size portions ordered. This could be a point of consideration for customers looking for standard meal sizes.

Environment:

The provided reviews do not offer any information about the dining environment at Green Tea Kitchen. There is no mention of the ambiance, decor, or whether dine-in service is a significant part of their operation. One negative review referred to it as a "drive through Chinese place," which might suggest that a significant portion of their business is focused on takeout, possibly with a drive-through window for convenience. However, this is not explicitly confirmed. Local users seeking information about the dine-in experience would need to contact the restaurant directly or look for additional reviews on other platforms.

Customer Feedback and Considerations:

The available customer feedback presents a stark contrast. A long-term customer praised the "consistently excellent food" and highlighted exceptional service from the owner during adverse weather conditions. This positive review suggests that Green Tea Kitchen is capable of providing good food and dedicated service.

However, a more recent and detailed negative review paints a concerning picture. This customer reported ordering half-size portions of three different items and found all of them to be of poor quality: the chicken lo mein lacked flavor, the crab puffs contained no crab, and the sesame chicken was mostly batter with very little chicken. This customer also expressed concerns about potential food poisoning after both they and their daughter threw up their dinner. The reviewer strongly advised others to avoid Green Tea Kitchen and suggested a different local Chinese restaurant as a better alternative.

Given this significant negative feedback, local users should approach Green Tea Kitchen with caution. The inconsistency in reviews, with a long-term positive experience contrasting sharply with a recent very negative one, suggests that the quality of food may be variable. The specific issues raised in the negative review, such as the lack of key ingredients (crab in crab puffs, chicken in sesame chicken) and the poor quality of the lo mein, are serious concerns for potential customers.

The reference to it as a "drive through Chinese place" might imply a focus on speed and convenience over food quality, but this is speculative based on one review. Customers prioritizing high-quality ingredients and careful preparation may want to consider the recent negative experiences shared.

Promotional Information:

The provided information does not include any details about current promotions, discounts, or special offers at Green Tea Kitchen. To find out if they are currently running any promotions, local users are advised to:

  • Call the restaurant directly at (360) 892-8989 or +1 360-892-8989.
  • Check if Green Tea Kitchen has a website or social media profiles where they might announce special deals.
  • Inquire about any ongoing promotions when placing an order.

Given the mixed customer feedback regarding food quality, potential promotions might be a secondary consideration for those deciding whether to try Green Tea Kitchen.

In Conclusion:

Green Tea Kitchen in Vancouver is a Chinese restaurant that offers takeout and potentially delivery services. While a long-term customer has reported consistently excellent food and exceptional service, a recent review details significant issues with the quality and ingredients of several dishes, leading to a highly negative experience. The description of it as possibly a "drive through Chinese place" suggests a focus on convenience. Local users considering Green Tea Kitchen should weigh the positive feedback from a long-term patron against the serious concerns raised in the more recent negative review. It may be prudent to inquire about the quality and preparation of specific dishes before placing an order. For information on any current promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

I have ordered from Green Tea for years, always consistently excellent food, this time the owner went above and beyond delivering my dinner in the snowy weather, can’t thank them enough.

We (my 17year old daughter and I) ordered 1/2 size chicken lo mein, 1/2 size crab puffs and 1/2 size sesame chicken. There was no meal that would accommodate what we were craving and it cost us almost $50. Everything was dry. There's no crab in the crab puffs. The sesame chicken barely had any chicken in it, it was mostly batter. And the chicken lo mein was just noodles with soy sauce, Panda Express is better. Save your money and goes to House of Bejing! We would have but they were closed. Never trust a drive through Chinese place. We thought we would give it a go but never again. We both threw up our dinner. After reading the reviews, I hope we don't get food poisoning.🤮

👁️ UPDATE: There was a fly in our last order. I posted a photo of it here. Somehow it was deleted. We won't go back. OLD REVIEW: Vast menu at this take out only Chinese joint. Good size portions. The Kung Pao chicken was decent. The Mongolian beef had a lot more vegetables than I expected yet tasted pretty good. Hot and sour soup was good. BBQ pork fried rice was ok. I want rice with more debris (carrots, peas, pork, egg, ect). The spring rolls were just ok...but I'm not big on rolls. I really like the Szechuan Beef. Deep Fried Prawns are really good. They are lightning fast. All this only took 15 minutes. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars.

Great lunch specials!! Great price, great quantity and great flavor. I've ordered a large variety of items from this restaurant and never been disappointed. I especially love the Beef Vegetable Chow Don with a side of Egg Foo Young gravy =)

I use to dine here regularly as I grew up in Cascade Park. This is no longer going to be a place I dine. We ordered crab puffs that have zero crab, our General Tso chicken was extremely over breaded and soggy, the low main was decent enough but the Kung Pao Chicken was green. Like the chicken was green too. (Pics don't tell the true story if how green) We thought maybe they put food coloring in it because it's Christmas as a joke. When I called with my concerns that was not the case. They offered to make us another order but I declined. Asked for a refund for the Kung Pao. We still have to check that it happened. $70 wasted on a meal that left tummy aches in half of my family. Update: it was actually $78 and they never refunded my Kung Pao chicken.
