About Green Garden

Green Garden, categorized as a Chinese Restaurant, is located at 300 Beverly Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15216, USA. They can be contacted at (412) 531-0881 or +1 412-531-0881.

Customer reviews indicate that Green Garden is known for its delicious and consistently good food. One long-term customer of over 10 years highlights the reliability and taste of their staple dishes, including sweet and sour chicken, chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, egg drop soup, and egg rolls. They also point out the generous portion sizes, with dinner entrees easily providing enough food for two meals. The food is described as "no frills" but satisfying in taste.

However, one reviewer mentioned a significant issue with the packaging, particularly for larger orders. They reported that stuffing everything into a single bag led to the sweet and sour sauce container being crushed and spilling. This customer recommends using two bags for larger orders in the future to prevent such issues. Despite this packaging concern, the positive feedback regarding the taste and consistency of the food suggests that Green Garden is a reliable option for those seeking classic Chinese takeout in the Pittsburgh area.

Food is delicious but packaging is awful. Use 2 bags for big orders in the future instead of stuffing 1 bag so full that the sweet and sour sauce gets crushed and spills on everything.

I have been ordering from Green Garden for over 10 years. My staples are sweet and sour chicken, chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, egg drop soup, and egg rolls. Their food is always good and very consistent. You easily get 2 meals worth of food for dinner entrees. The food is very much "no frills", but delivers in taste.

We ordered take out 3/23/25 PM. My recent experience at GREEN GARDEN on Beverly Rd. Mt. Lebanon, was incredibly disappointing to say the least. The food was bland no taste, seemed overcooked or reheated the worst fry rice I have ever eaten . We always order from SESAME INN but being I received a menu in my mailbox from GREEN GARDEN figured we give it a try BIG MISTAKE a total waist of 75$ wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

First time customer, and we had take out, I must say this food was absolutely wonderful, and will definitely be ordering again and letting people know how good it was! Thank you!

I do not understand some of these harsh reviews. I have been ordering from this place for years and is always good. Of course over the years I have had some misses (bland, cold, just blah). I have also had 'misses' in Michelin-starred spots in NYC and LA too. It happens at every restaurant. Today I decided to offer a review as I was very impressed with my Shrimp and Broccoli and House Special Egg Foo Young. I live in Mt Leb not far from the place. My order (on Good Friday) from placement to delivery was less than 15 minutes. The food was so hot...I actually had to let it cool down to eat. That never happens with delivery from anywhere. The shrimp are the REAL DEAL, jumbo, fresh and tender. The 'E.F.Y.' (ordered sauce on side) was also a super hot, fluffy and a delicious 'old skool' treat. And the prices here can not be beat. To the negative reviewers: ordering deep fried or pre-cooked food from any Chinese restaurant is not going to be great. So skip the beef on stick, ribs, egg rolls, rangoon, dumpling, wings, wontons, all that and only order food fired FRESHLY COOKED in the wok (like what I ordered) and you will be happy. I ordered online and made several notes: extra spicy, sauce on side, etc and all was prepped right. This place has thrived a LONG time in a finicky area with (expensive) competition from Sesame Inn and Jade Grille...they must be doing something right!
