Great Wall Restaurant

This is a hard review, I have gone to the great wall for over 40 years. Never had an issue and while the building is outdated the food and service has always been great. Unfortunately I picked up a to go order last week and after getting home and making our plates there was an insect in our food. I thought cricket but possibly a cockroach. They refunded me and were very accommodating about this situation but they have lost a lifetime long customer unfortunately.

My friends and I decided to try this restaurant. It has to be the best oriental buffet I've been to thus far. There was a wide variety of dishes, everything was fresh and hot. The absolute best dessert selections. They even had a sushi bar and a section similar to what you'd find at the Mongolian Grill. Highly recommended!!

I’ve been coming here since j was a little girl. It was my families meet-up place. After my parents died my foster parents continued the tradition until they also passed away. I have now continued this tradition with my children and my grandparents. The food here is ALWAYS fresh. They have a wider variety now of sushi, and it’s fresh also. They have a machine for ice cream and actual buckets of ice cream, mint chocolate chip, cookies and cream, strawberry and I think a green ice cream. The place is always clean. They go around with a vacuum, not an electric one, an old one that just kind of scoops it up. So it doesn’t bother you. They’re efficient in getting you sat down and with drinks. They are fairly priced and I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve come here over 100 times in my lifetime and I’m 29. It’s always clean. Staff is always so nice and lovely, it’s quiet? Peaceful and yummy. All around good service. You can also order out if you’d like.

This is probably the best buffet here in the Boise area. Their food taste as good as it looks. They have a wide range of food here. And unlike the other buffets here the staff is VERY friendly so that lends to the service and atmosphere area. Their price is a kettle better than tho other two buffets as well.

The service and atmosphere was good, but I was very disappointed in their lack of seafood options. They did not offer pineapple shrimp, fried shrimp, nor fried fish, and their baked white fish flavor was good, but it had been way overcooked, and left a hard film over the top of the fish! Also, the chicken dishes were overcooked, which left the chicken either very chewy like leather, or with a very hard outer layer! And the sticky rice, that they make the sushi with was overcooked and mushy. Not a good experience. I could have overlooked some of it, but when they didn't offer any fried fish, pineapple shrimp, and then the chicken dishes almost inedible, I would say that the manager should really pay more attention to the food being put out for customers to choose from
