About Great Wall

Welcome to Great Wall, a Chinese restaurant located at 1123 S Lake Dr Suite B in Lexington, South Carolina (SC 29073), USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, Great Wall aims to provide a range of Chinese dishes and services to the community. You can contact them at their phone number: (803) 957-8282 or their mobile number: +1 803-957-8282 for inquiries about their menu, hours, or to place an order.

Based on the limited recent customer feedback available, the experience at Great Wall Chinese Restaurant appears to be somewhat contradictory. One long-time patron shared a highly positive experience, stating that they have been going to Great Wall since childhood and it has "always been a 10/10 experience" with "great food at a reasonable" price. This suggests that Great Wall has a history of providing satisfactory meals and a positive dining experience for some members of the community over an extended period.

However, a more recent review presents a serious concern. A customer reported that their family, who usually enjoys the restaurant, ordered food one evening and subsequently experienced food poisoning from the house special mei fun and lo mein. This is a significant and concerning piece of feedback that potential customers should be aware of. Food poisoning can have serious health implications, and this review raises questions about the restaurant's current food safety practices and quality control.

Considering these two contrasting reviews, it is challenging to form a definitive overall assessment of Great Wall. The positive review speaks to a history of quality and customer satisfaction, while the recent report of food poisoning is a serious incident that cannot be ignored. It is possible that the restaurant has experienced a recent lapse in standards or that the food poisoning incident was an isolated occurrence. However, without more information, it is difficult to ascertain the current overall quality and safety of the food served at Great Wall.

As a Chinese restaurant, Great Wall likely offers a variety of popular dishes, which may include different types of fried rice, noodle dishes like lo mein and mei fun, various chicken, beef, and seafood entrees, as well as appetizers and soups. The mention of a "house special mei fun" suggests that they have signature dishes that are particularly popular or recommended.

The services typically offered by a Chinese restaurant would include dine-in and takeout. Given the phone numbers provided, it is likely that customers can place orders for pickup. To determine if they offer delivery services or have specific dining hours, it would be best to contact the restaurant directly.

For local users in Lexington, SC, who are considering dining at Great Wall, it is important to be aware of both the long-term positive feedback and the recent serious report of food poisoning. The positive review suggests that, historically, the restaurant has been a reliable choice with good food at reasonable prices. However, the recent incident raises significant concerns about food safety.

Potential customers might want to inquire with the restaurant about their current food safety practices and standards. It may also be prudent to look for more recent reviews to see if there are any further indications of consistent quality or ongoing issues. Given the severity of the food poisoning report, some individuals may choose to exercise caution before dining at or ordering from Great Wall.

If you have enjoyed Great Wall in the past, the recent review might be concerning. If you are a new customer, you will need to weigh the positive long-term feedback against the serious recent negative experience. It might be wise to seek more up-to-date information from other recent diners before making a decision.

To get more details about their menu, services, and any information regarding their food safety practices, local users are encouraged to contact Great Wall directly at (803) 957-8282. This will allow you to make a more informed decision based on your own comfort level and the information you gather.

In conclusion, Great Wall Chinese Restaurant in Lexington, SC, has received positive feedback from a long-term customer, highlighting great food at reasonable prices. However, a recent and serious report of food poisoning involving their house special mei fun and lo mein raises significant concerns about the restaurant's current food safety and quality control. Local users should consider both of these perspectives when deciding whether to patronize Great Wall.

This is really good tasting food. I like all kinds of Asian foods from different Asian restaurants. From time to time I crave for Chinese cuisine. I had the beef lomein with broccoli. That satisfied my appetite that night. I chopped that down quite quickly and wanted more. It was too late for that night. I rushed over there the next day. I got egg rolls and shrimp chow mein. Yummy.

First time here today and my last! The rice was dry and had an unpleasant taste. The sweet and sour chicken was dry and hard. This is definitely not a place to go eat if they're going to serve food like this. There is no excuse for opening for lunch if the chicken is going to be that dry and hard. If I didn't live so far away, I'd go back and get my money back. My money is wasted because the food is in the trash.

Literally the best Chinese you can get within 30 minutes. I have tried every other Chinese restaurant nearby and nothing compares. The food is always delicious, hot, and freshly made to order. I cannot recommend it enough.
