Customer reviews can provide valuable insights into the dining experience at any restaurant. The limited feedback available for Great Wall presents some significant concerns regarding the quality of the food. One reviewer stated that "the food here is horrible" and that it is not worth the price paid. This customer specifically mentioned an order of "5 pieces of chicken and rice that did not look like fried rice at all," strongly recommending that others choose a different Chinese restaurant. This feedback suggests a potentially significant issue with the food quality and value offered at Great Wall.
Another customer shared a similarly negative experience, stating that they regretted not reading reviews before ordering. While they refrained from describing the food in detail, they posted images of their "large" won ton soup, one showing the soup with liquid and another after pouring the liquid out, revealing a seemingly small amount of solid contents. This visual evidence, coupled with the customer's strong negative sentiment, further indicates potential issues with the quantity and possibly the quality of the food served at Great Wall.
On a slightly positive note, the first reviewer did mention that "The staff is kind!" This suggests that while the food may be a concern for some customers, the service provided by the staff is perceived as friendly and welcoming. This positive aspect of customer service might be a redeeming quality for some patrons. Additionally, the same reviewer noted that the "Restaurant is clean," which is an important factor for overall customer satisfaction and comfort.
However, the overwhelmingly negative feedback regarding the food quality and value significantly outweighs the positive comments about the staff and cleanliness. Potential customers should carefully consider these reviews when deciding whether to dine at or order from Great Wall. The discrepancies between the cost and the perceived amount and quality of food appear to be major points of concern for the reviewers.
Given the limited and largely negative feedback regarding the food, it is difficult to highlight any specific features or promotional information for Great Wall based solely on the provided text. The primary takeaway from the reviews is the strong dissatisfaction expressed by customers regarding the food quality and value for money. While the staff's kindness and the restaurant's cleanliness are positive aspects, they may not be sufficient to overcome the reported issues with the food itself.
For local users in Calhoun, GA, who are considering Chinese dining options, it would be prudent to weigh the negative feedback concerning the food at Great Wall against the positive remarks about the staff and cleanliness. Seeking additional, more recent reviews from other sources might provide a more comprehensive and balanced perspective. Alternatively, exploring other Chinese restaurants in the Calhoun area might be advisable based on the currently available information.
In conclusion, Great Wall is a Chinese restaurant located in Calhoun, GA, offering dine-in and takeout services, with potential delivery. While the staff is reported to be kind and the restaurant clean, the available customer reviews express significant dissatisfaction with the food quality and value for money. Potential customers should consider this feedback when making their dining decisions.

The staff is kind! Restaurant is clean. But the food here is horrible.. definitely do not get what you pay for. 5 pieces of chicken and rice that did not look like fried rice at all. I would definitely recommend going to a different Chinese restaurant.
I should have read the reviews before I ordered food from this place. I’m not even going to try to describe the food but I’ll post a picture of my “large” won ton soup and let you be the judge. OMG, I had to edit this review; I took the won ton soup and poured the liquid out of it and this second pic is what I was left with:
I really hate to write a bad review but this is truly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. I used to eat here for lunch quite regularly about 15 years ago. It is not the same. We ordered vegetable egg fu yung, Mongolian chicken, and general tso’s chicken. The Mongolian chicken and egg fu yung really were a container full of onions. Honestly, it’s like they said oh crap, what vegetables do we have here and all they had was 12 onions. The general tso’s had absolutely no flavor and no sauce at all. We also ordered hot and sour soup, which is usually my favorite. No. It was very off tasting, almost rancid. So disappointing as it was a special meal for my mother in law. Honestly, the worst. They were very friendly, just bad food.
The braised chicken was really good. It was my first time trying it. Not the normal fried rice but it was still good. Everything came out piping hot. Employee's were very nice.
Went out on a limb and tried this place. The employees were super nice so was really rooting for this place. HOWEVER, The Sesame chicken combination came with about 6 nuggets with a weird clear sauce and no sesame seeds. The fried rice looks like white rice they browned up a little. No flavor. Chicken fried rice had questionable meat in it, and did not look appealing at all. It was not like anything I’ve ever had before. Literally just chicken pieces and rice. The crab Rangoon tasted like they fried it in the same fryer they fry desert in. And not in a good way. Spent over $20 on barely any food and had to throw it away because it was not appetizing at all. Really hoping we don’t get sick from the little we were able to stomach.
