About Great Wall

Located at 234 By-pass 72 NW in Greenwood, South Carolina, Great Wall operates as a Chinese restaurant serving the local community. As part of the Chinese restaurant category, it aims to provide a range of Asian-inspired dishes. They can be contacted at (864) 223-6442 or their mobile number +1 864-223-6442 for inquiries or orders.

Based on recent customer reviews, the environment of Great Wall appears to be a significant area of concern. One reviewer described the atmosphere as having a "dirty feeling," which negatively impacted their dining experience to the point where they seriously considered discarding a coat that had fallen on the floor. This suggests that cleanliness may be a notable issue within the restaurant's premises. Another reviewer did not specifically comment on the ambiance but focused heavily on the poor quality of the food.

The services offered by Great Wall seem to include both buffet and menu ordering options, as mentioned by one reviewer who noted that the "buffet looked old" and consequently chose to order from the menu instead. This indicates that customers have a choice between a self-service buffet and ordering dishes directly. However, the negative experiences reported suggest that the quality of both the buffet and the menu items may be subpar. The lack of positive comments regarding service in either review implies that this might also be an area where the restaurant underperforms.

The features of Great Wall, based on the overwhelmingly negative feedback, point towards significant issues with food quality and preparation. One reviewer described their meal as "so bad that I wasn’t even comfortable offering it to my dog because we couldn’t eat it!!!" This extreme statement underscores the severity of the food quality problems encountered. Specific issues mentioned include "fried rice" that was actually "yellow rice," a "garlic chicken" dish that looked so unappetizing and unlike chicken that the reviewer was "too scared to eat it" and threw it away, and "wonton soup" containing "shriveled up won tons that appeared to be hours old!!" The only item deemed "eatable" by this reviewer was the "fried wings," suggesting a stark inconsistency in the quality of different dishes.

The second reviewer, who ordered from the menu after observing the unappealing buffet, described the food as the "Worst Chinese food I have ever eaten" and categorized their experience as "HORRIFIC." This aligns with the first reviewer's assessment of the food as an "absolute disaster." The strong negative language used by both customers indicates a severe dissatisfaction with the culinary offerings at Great Wall.

Promotional information is not mentioned in the provided customer reviews. Given the strongly negative feedback regarding food quality and the environment, it is unlikely that any promotions would outweigh these significant concerns for potential customers. Typically, Chinese restaurants might offer lunch specials, combination meals, or discounts, but without any positive indication of the food quality, such promotions would likely be ineffective in attracting or retaining customers.

The consistent theme across both reviews is the exceptionally poor quality of the food and, in one case, a very negative impression of the restaurant's cleanliness. The fact that one reviewer felt the food was unfit even for their pet is a particularly damning indictment. The description of specific dishes—yellow rice instead of fried rice, unrecognizable garlic chicken, and stale wonton soup—paints a picture of severely substandard food preparation and quality control. The observation of an unappetizing buffet further reinforces the concerns about the overall food standards at Great Wall.

In conclusion, Great Wall in Greenwood, SC, appears to be a Chinese restaurant that has received overwhelmingly negative feedback regarding its food quality and, in one instance, the cleanliness of its environment. Customers have reported inedible dishes, misrepresented food items, and concerns about freshness. The buffet was described as unappealing, leading one customer to order from the menu, only to have a similarly horrific experience. The lack of positive comments and the strong negative language used in both reviews serve as significant red flags for potential local users. Based on this recent feedback, it would be prudent for individuals seeking a satisfactory Chinese dining experience in Greenwood to consider other options. There is no information to suggest any positive features or promotional offers that could counteract the severe quality and cleanliness issues reported.

First time back in a while, not due to the restaurant or anything/ just kinda forgot about’m. Ordered online, food was fresh and delicious right out of the kitchen, excited to have these left overs tomorrow. Seriously, everything was good. We will be back.
