Welcome to the introduction of Great Wall Chinese Restaurant, located at 6832 S Kings Ranch Rd #1, Gold Canyon, AZ 85118, USA. Based on recent customer feedback, it is crucial for local users to be aware of significant negative experiences reported by multiple patrons of Great Wall Chinese Restaurant. These reviews raise serious concerns regarding the cleanliness of the facilities, the quality of the food, and the standard of customer service.

One particularly alarming review detailed the state of the restaurant's bathroom. The customer described it as a "total disaster," noting the presence of dust on the towel and soap dispenser, suggesting a lack of recent cleaning. While they mentioned that the inside of the toilet bowl appeared okay, the overall condition of the bathroom raised hygiene concerns. This reviewer also expressed surprise at observing what appeared to be family members of the owner or an employee eating with them at a table adjacent to customers. This observation, while perhaps not directly related to food quality or cleanliness, contributed to a negative overall impression. The severity of this reviewer's experience led them to give a "harsh review" and suggest that the establishment "should be shut down."

Another critical review focused specifically on the quality of two popular Chinese dishes: Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken. The customer explicitly advised against ordering these items, stating that they were "definitely frozen and prepackaged" and that both tasted "terrible." This suggests a reliance on low-quality, processed ingredients for these dishes, which is a significant concern for anyone seeking freshly prepared food.

Adding to the negative feedback, a third reviewer expressed confusion as to why the restaurant might have received good reviews, stating that "the food is bad and the service is horrible." This customer specifically called out the waitress, described as an "older lady," for being "so rude." This indicates a serious issue with the front-of-house service, which can significantly impact the overall dining experience, regardless of the food quality.

The final piece of feedback strongly urged others to "stay away from this place," even suggesting that Panda Express is "💯times better than this establishment!" The reviewer went so far as to speculate that any positive reviews might be "fake," underscoring the extreme dissatisfaction expressed in their experience.

Considering these overwhelmingly negative reviews, it is difficult to ascertain any positive aspects regarding the environment of Great Wall Chinese Restaurant. While one reviewer did mention that the "restaurant itself was clean," this is starkly contrasted by the description of the "total disaster" in the bathroom by another. This discrepancy suggests a potential inconsistency in cleanliness standards between different areas of the establishment, with the bathroom being a major area of concern.

Similarly, the information regarding services is limited and largely negative. The rude behavior attributed to the waitress in one review indicates a significant deficiency in customer service. While it can be assumed that Great Wall Chinese Restaurant offers standard services such as dine-in and potentially takeout, the reported negative interactions with staff detract significantly from the perceived quality of these services. There is no mention of delivery services in the provided feedback.

The features of Great Wall Chinese Restaurant, based on these reviews, are predominantly negative. The use of prepackaged and frozen ingredients for popular dishes like Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken is a major drawback. The inconsistent cleanliness, particularly the severely unclean bathroom, raises serious hygiene concerns. The reported rude service further diminishes any potential positive features the restaurant might offer. The only potentially neutral point is the mention that the restaurant itself appeared clean to one reviewer, but this is overshadowed by the significant issues raised by others.

Currently, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or special deals at Great Wall Chinese Restaurant based on the provided customer reviews. Given the strong negative feedback concerning the fundamental aspects of cleanliness, food quality, and service, any potential promotions would likely be secondary considerations for local users. It would be advisable for the restaurant to address the serious issues raised in these reviews before attempting to attract customers through promotions.

In conclusion, the recent customer feedback for Great Wall Chinese Restaurant in Gold Canyon, Arizona, paints a concerning picture. Multiple reviewers have reported significant issues, including a severely unclean bathroom, the use of prepackaged and poor-quality ingredients in popular dishes like Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken, and rude customer service. One reviewer went as far as to recommend avoiding the establishment altogether. While one customer found the restaurant itself to be clean, this is contradicted by the alarming state of the bathroom reported by another. Given the severity and consistency of the negative feedback across multiple critical areas, local users should exercise extreme caution when considering dining at Great Wall Chinese Restaurant. It would be prudent to seek alternative Chinese dining options in the Gold Canyon area that have received more positive and consistent reviews regarding cleanliness, food quality, and service.

Bathroom was a total disaster. Even dust on towel and soap dispenser so who knows when this bathroom was last cleaned. At least the inside of toilet bowl appeared ok. Fortunately, restaurant itself was clean. Surprised that either owner or employee who served us had family members over and eating with them at table next to us. I rarely give such a harsh review. But, this place should be shut down.

Do not order the orange chicken or sesame chicken! It’s definitely frozen and prepackaged- both tasted terrible. I’m not sure why this restaurant has good reviews, the food is bad and the service is horrible. The waitress (older lady) was so rude! Please stay away from this place - PandaExpress is 💯times better than this establishment! All of these good reviews are probably fake.

This was my second time at Great Wall and I was thoroughly happy once again with this time being a dine in experience. We were immediately greeted by the very hospitable staff working the dining area and seated quickly. We were supplied fried wonton chips and sweet and sour sauce which were delicious while our soft drinks were prepared although wine and both import and domestic beers were available choices for our next visit. The food was very quick too the table, we enjoyed fried wontons as an appetizer and egg foo young and the combination fried noodles for our entrees and we were not disappointed in anyway piping hot, fresh, great appearance, delishious, and enough food to have ask excrement lunch the next day. The service overall was fantastic our drinks were always full and the staff was courteous and friendly. Oh one last thing, the free doughnut was a delicious little sunrise that was greatly appreciated. We look forward to our next experience.

When we first walked in the door, we were greeted with a hello. The restraunt is small with only 12 tables. It was very clean. We ordered chicken egg rolls to start. They were fresh and hot. For dinner, we ordered the sesame chicken with white rice and chicken pad thai. The pad thai lacked flavor, but the sesame chicken was very good. The flavor had a honey taste to it, it is breaded. We will be back to try other dishes on the menu.

I'm not sure if we just got a bad order or something, but this was the blandest food I think I've ever ordered from a restaurant. We got shrimp dishes for take out. Mine came with white sauce on the side, but after I poured it on and took a bite, I thought maybe I'd put the wrong thing on it. It tasted like water. That is not hyperbole or a dramatization. It tasted of nothing but naked steamed vegetables fresh out of the steamer. Also got the wanton soup. It tasted like they cut the broth with water to make it last or something. We ended up rading the condiments and spices in an attempt to make everything at least mildly enjoyable. I never write reviews, but this was pretty ridiculous. Maybe there's other good things on the menu, but I dont feel the need to bother finding out.
