When choosing a local eatery, especially a Chinese restaurant, many people rely on the experiences of fellow diners to gauge the quality of food, service, and overall ambiance. Online reviews can offer valuable, albeit sometimes subjective, insights into what you might expect. It's always wise to consider a range of opinions to form a more comprehensive understanding of a restaurant.

One customer review for Great Wall Chinese expresses a very positive experience. This reviewer, who moved to Colorado five years prior and had difficulty finding a satisfactory Chinese restaurant until discovering this one after moving to Hudson a year ago, describes the place as "fantastic." They consistently find the food to be "always on point," the service "quick and efficient," and the atmosphere "honestly tranquil." This reviewer specifically recommends the pork lo mein, calling it "out of this world," and mentions regularly ordering it with pho and fried chicken wings. They also note that their spouse enjoys the cheese wontons and praises the pad Thai as "also excellent." This glowing review suggests that Great Wall Chinese has provided a consistently high-quality dining experience for at least one local customer, who appreciates the food, service speed, and the restaurant's atmosphere.

However, another customer review presents a starkly contrasting and deeply concerning experience. This reviewer alleges finding "maggots in food." They further state that upon calling the restaurant, the staff reportedly argued and requested that the customer bring the food back to the restaurant, located in Fort Lupton, for a refund, despite the customer residing in Platteville. The reviewer expresses disbelief that any restaurant would make such a request under those circumstances and strongly advises others to "Do not order here! Disgusting!" This serious accusation raises significant concerns about food safety and hygiene practices at the establishment.

These two reviews offer drastically different perspectives on Great Wall Chinese. The positive review highlights delicious food, efficient service, and a pleasant atmosphere, while the negative review makes a serious allegation regarding food contamination and questionable customer service. It is crucial for potential customers to be aware of both these accounts when considering this restaurant.

As a Chinese restaurant, Great Wall Chinese likely offers a menu featuring a variety of classic and popular Chinese dishes. Based on the positive review, their offerings may extend beyond standard Chinese fare to include items like pho (a Vietnamese noodle soup) and pad Thai (a Thai noodle dish), suggesting a broader Asian influence on their menu. The mention of pork lo mein, fried chicken wings, and cheese wontons also indicates some of the specific types of dishes they serve. Combo meals, which often include a main dish, rice, and perhaps an appetizer, are also a common feature in Chinese restaurants.

The location at 1200 Dexter St W1 in Fort Lupton, CO, provides a physical address for those wishing to dine in or pick up takeout orders. The availability of both a regular phone number and a mobile phone number suggests that they are readily contactable for inquiries or to place orders. While one review praises the quick service for delivery order pickups, the other review does not provide information about delivery services. It is advisable to contact the restaurant directly to confirm if they offer delivery and to what areas.

For local users in Fort Lupton and surrounding areas considering Great Wall Chinese, these two reviews present a dilemma. The positive feedback suggests a potentially enjoyable dining experience with tasty food and good service. However, the serious allegation of finding maggots in food cannot be ignored and raises significant red flags regarding food safety. Potential customers will need to weigh these conflicting reports carefully.

Given the severity of the accusation in the negative review, it might be prudent for potential customers to seek further information or reviews from other sources to see if there are any corroborating accounts or if the positive experience is more representative. Checking local health department records, if available online, might also provide additional insight into the restaurant's hygiene and safety standards, although this information is not provided in the initial data.

To obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information about Great Wall Chinese, including their current menu, hours, services (dine-in, takeout, delivery), and any potential promotional offers, contacting the restaurant directly via phone at (303) 857-8886 or +1 303-857-8886 is recommended. This will allow you to ask specific questions and make an informed decision based on your own comfort level and preferences.

In conclusion, Great Wall Chinese in Fort Lupton, CO, is a local Chinese restaurant that has received both high praise for its food, service, and atmosphere, and a very serious accusation concerning food safety. Local users should consider these contrasting viewpoints and seek additional information if needed before deciding to dine at or order from this establishment. Direct contact with the restaurant is recommended for the most current details on their offerings and services.

I moved to Colorado five years ago, and have to say it’s been hard to find a good Chinese food place. Well, I moved to Hudson a year ago, and found it! This place is fantastic! The food is always on point, service is quick and efficient, and the atmosphere is honestly tranquil. Love this place! The pork lo mein is out of this world! I always order it with some pho and fried chicken wings. Hubs loves the cheese wontons. The pad Thai is also excellent!

MAGGOTS in food. I called and they argue, want me to bring food back for refund. I live in Platteville. I’m not gonna drive back the maggot food to prove it’s there to get a refund. What other restaurant would request that? None! Do not order here! Disgusting!

This is my last time I'm ever eating here. I took one bite of a wonton that was hard as a rock. Then I really looked at all of them and almost threw up. $22 for old possibly moldy wontons, and the most off tasting beef and broccoli I've ever had. **little tip.... if they offer you a free soda, there's something wrong with the food.** Actually maybe it is time to go vomit.

We have dined in two times and had delivery the third time. The food is fresh and so good; not too salty; seasoned just right. It's not often that a Chinese restaurant will do as well with Vietnamese or other culture cuisines, but here they are amazing! The Pho is delicious and I've been told they make it in house which it really tastes like it. We had that delivered and it was perfect. The Vietnamese egg rolls are delicious as well; perfectly cooked and better tasting than at many Vietnamese restaurants. The Combo Singapore Noodles were so delicious and a huge amount. So fresh! They even serve fried noodles which is great and they gave us each a home made donut afterwards. Will keep ordering from here as long as it's consistent and so far it has been.
