Grant Place Restaurant's main feature, based on customer reviews, is its delicious dim sum menu, which caters to those with a "dim sum craving." The variety of offerings seems to satisfy different palates. Specific dishes mentioned include the pork buns, which were described as "okay" and leaning towards the sweeter side (potentially a different style than what some New Yorkers might be accustomed to). The scallion pancake received high praise, being described as "very good." The steamed shrimp dumplings were also well-received, noted as "good" and implying freshness, which was a recurring positive comment across the board.
Beyond the traditional dim sum items, Grant Place Restaurant also offers other Chinese dishes, such as General Tso's chicken. This particular rendition was noted for being more on the savory side rather than the typically sweet and spicy flavor profile. A significant positive aspect highlighted by a reviewer was the freshness of all the food ordered, indicating a commitment to quality ingredients. This focus on freshness likely contributes to the overall positive dining experience.

Absolutely delicious, had a very lovely time here. Service was fast at 9:00am and the menu had everything a dim sum craving person needed. I enjoyed the food and the service. Lovely location in China Town. So happy!
Not a bad dim sum spot, we came here after reading a couple of recommendations and wanted to have a bit of a bite to eat. The pork buns were okay, a bit more on the sweeter side than I’m used to (probably a NY thing), scallion pancake was very good, and the steamed shrimp dumplings were good. General Tso more in the savory side rather than sweet and spicy-ish. Everything was very fresh. Overall I’d probably go again cause it’s a very quiet and chill spot compared to the other parts of Chinatown and had decent prices!
Lunch time at this restaurant, the duck is good, roast pork good. BBQ pork was a bit too thin for our liking. The fried rice was a but dry. But overall, our craving was satisfy.
Located in the heart of Chinatown and offers a good variety of staple dim sum dishes! Although some improvements could be made to the wraps of the dim sum themselves. Overall delicious!
We had a work anniversary event. On the recommendation of a colleague and friend, we reached out to Grant Place for our catering needs. First and foremost, they were such a pleasure to work with when it came to putting the menu together. They were kind enough to suggest what dishes would keep well throughout the evening and which dishes could be kept at room temperature and which ones needed to stay hot. That was extremely helpful to me because I wanted everything to be perfect for our guests. They went above and beyond when it came to their service. The food was delivered on time and they were so kind and helpful, going beyond the scope of our contract to make sure that everything was indeed perfect for our event. Our guests absolutely loved every dish! We ordered mostly dim sum, some noodles and some special dishes cooked without gluten ingredients for our gluten-free guests. The Siu Mai was the best I’d had in forever. For your next event, don’t hesitate to cater from Grant Place — your guests will love and thank you for it!
