About Grand Street Skewer Cart
Grand Street Skewer Cart is a Chinese restaurant operating as a street food vendor at 246 Grand St in New York City. Specializing in grilled skewers, this establishment has garnered attention for its flavorful offerings.
A notable feature of Grand Street Skewer Cart is the seasoning of their skewers, which customers have described as surprisingly well-balanced compared to other similar vendors. For the best taste experience, it is highly recommended to eat the skewers immediately after they are grilled, ensuring they are hot and fresh.
Among the options available, the juicy chicken skewer with spicy powder is a popular recommendation, known for delivering a noticeable, lip-tingling spice. In contrast, the beef skewer has been noted by at least one customer to be a bit dry.
The skewer cart is operated by a friendly couple, contributing to a positive customer experience. The skewers are described as "addicting," with many customers opting to enjoy them right away upon purchase.
If you are looking for a quick and flavorful bite in the form of well-seasoned grilled skewers in New York City, Grand Street Skewer Cart might be worth a visit. Be sure to try the spicy chicken and enjoy your skewers fresh off the grill.

This is surprisingly well-seasoned compared to other “super salty” places I’ve tried at lol. I would recommend eating it right after they grilled it so that it’s hot and fresh. Yummy!
Spicy powder on the juicy chicken is what i recommend, it is actually spicy lips tingling. the beef is a bit dry. Nice couple operating. Addicting skewers we usually just eat it straight away.
A nice little spot to grab some mouth watering skewers. The meat has that nice char to it and is extremely tender. The beef and lamb are my favorite out of the ones I tried. The vendors are super nice and the prices are cheap! I'll definitely be back to try more when I'm in the area.
These five skewers: arguably the best thing I've eaten in this city for under $15. The highlight are the mushroom / scallops wrapped in bacon, grilled over coals... For $2.50?! Pinch me, I'm dreaming It's a grungy corner after dark, but right above the Grant St subway station.
Stopped by to grab a couple skewers of the sausage and lamb, and it was excellent. Good smokey and char flavor with a lot of cumin. It was also cheap at $2 a piece. Another spot Joshua Weissman visited and it also gets my recommendation. 10/10 highly recommend if you’re in the mood for something you can eat on the go, and you don’t want to sit down at a restaurant.
