About Grand Harbor
Grand Harbor is a Chinese restaurant located at 5733 Rosemead Blvd in Temple City, California. Situated within the San Gabriel Valley, a region known for its rich and diverse Chinese culinary scene, Grand Harbor offers a range of dining experiences, from enjoying traditional dim sum to hosting private banquets. With a phone number of (626) 280-2998 and a mobile number of +1 626-280-2998, they are readily accessible for inquiries and reservations.
As a Chinese restaurant, Grand Harbor features a menu that includes popular dim sum selections. According to customer reviews, the dim sum offered is satisfactory, providing a taste of these classic Cantonese small dishes. The pricing for dim sum is structured into categories: small dishes are priced at $5.38, medium dishes at $6.68, and large dishes at $7.38. Additionally, there are special or premium dim sum items available at a higher cost. One customer noted that while the dim sum was acceptable, the overall value for money felt somewhat underwhelming, suggesting that the portions might be perceived as small relative to the price paid.
Despite the value perception regarding their regular dim sum pricing, Grand Harbor does offer attractive discounts during the weekdays. Customers can benefit from a 20% discount on their total bill if they pay before noon on a weekday. For those paying after noon on a weekday, a 10% discount is offered. These weekday discounts present an opportunity to experience Grand Harbor's offerings at a more appealing price point. However, one reviewer mentioned that even with the discount, dining on the weekend might not feel as worthwhile due to the base pricing structure.
Beyond their regular menu, Grand Harbor also provides facilities and services for private events and banquets. One customer reported making a reservation for a private banquet room to accommodate a group of seven people. For this occasion, they ordered a set menu priced at approximately $90 per person, designed for a party of ten. The feedback regarding the banquet experience was positive, with the customer noting that the standard dishes included in the set menu were great, complemented by friendly service. The set menu featured staple dishes such as lobster, Peking duck, and filet mignon, all of which were well-received by the reviewer.
The availability of a private banquet room makes Grand Harbor a suitable venue for various gatherings, from family celebrations to corporate events. The positive feedback on the service during the banquet suggests that Grand Harbor is equipped to handle larger groups and provide a pleasant dining experience for special occasions. The inclusion of premium items like lobster, Peking duck, and filet mignon in their banquet menu indicates a capacity to offer higher-end Chinese cuisine.
In summary, Grand Harbor in Temple City offers a range of Chinese culinary options, including a selection of dim sum and comprehensive banquet services. While some customers have found the regular dim sum pricing to be on the higher side relative to the quantity received, the weekday discounts offer a chance to enjoy their dim sum at a reduced cost. For those considering hosting an event, the availability of private banquet rooms and the positive feedback on their set menu and service make Grand Harbor a viable option. The inclusion of well-regarded dishes like lobster, Peking duck, and filet mignon in their banquet offerings highlights their ability to cater to more upscale dining preferences.
For local users in Temple City and the surrounding areas looking for a Chinese restaurant that provides both everyday dim sum and banquet facilities, Grand Harbor presents itself as an option worth considering. The weekday discounts could be particularly attractive for those looking to enjoy dim sum at a more competitive price. Furthermore, the positive experience reported with their private banquet service suggests that Grand Harbor is capable of hosting memorable events with a focus on quality dishes and friendly service. It is advisable for potential customers to inquire about their current menu, pricing details, and any ongoing promotions to make an informed decision based on their specific needs and preferences.

Customer Reviews
The dim sum is satisfactory, but unimpressive in terms of value for money. We felt like we spent a lot and ate very little. The dishes are categorised into small, medium and large, costing $5.38, $6.68 and $7.38, respectively. There are also special/premium ones that cost even more. They do offer a discount during the weekday in which you can get 20% off your bill if you pay before noon and 10% after noon. I don’t think it’s worth it to come on the weekend because it already stung with the discount.
Made a reservation for private banquet room for 7 people and ordered their set menu that is roughly $90/person for a menu for 10 people. Overall standard dishes that were great with friendly service. Lobster, Peking duck, filet mignon, all great staple dishes.
Located in a shopping mall but step inside and you feel like you are in a grand restaurant in Hong Kong.. it is outdated glamour.. a little too much for me. As for the food,,, they have all day special for $12.99 . We tried 3 dishes. House special chicken was good but nothing special. Pork belly with tofu was not good,, and steamed tilapia was ok…
Good selection of special dinner. Rice not included though. They use frozen clams which are dry. Versus the nearby red 99 uses the fresh ones. Service is good and attentive. Changed our plates a few times. Tea is good. Ambiance is great.
Went for the dinner specials. Most plates were under 13 bucks. Portion size was good. Taste was ok. Service was a bit slow. Maybe due to short staff??? Many people leave with take out boxes. Better than cooking at home.
