One of the standout features of Grand China Restaurant, according to customer reviews, is the remarkable service provided by the family who runs it. Patrons frequently mention the warm and welcoming atmosphere, highlighting the staff's ability to remember regular customers' preferences, which creates a personal and appreciated dining experience. This attentiveness and friendly demeanor seem to leave a lasting positive impression, often putting a "smile" on customers' faces.
Grand China primarily caters to takeout orders, which customers report are consistently hot and ready upon arrival for pickup. This efficiency and reliability make it a convenient option for those looking to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine at home. However, contrary to initial impressions upon entering, Grand China does offer a few tables for those who prefer to dine in. Customers who have taken the opportunity to sit down and eat at the restaurant have found the experience to be even more enjoyable than takeout, suggesting a pleasant albeit perhaps cozy dining environment.
For tea enthusiasts, Grand China offers a hot tea that has been favorably compared to the tea experienced during a trip to China. This authentic touch indicates a commitment to providing a genuine Chinese culinary experience that extends beyond just the food itself. Customers have also mentioned the value in ordering plates to share, implying that the portion sizes are generous and well-suited for family-style dining, allowing everyone to sample a variety of dishes.
A detailed review from a first-time visitor provides further insights into the Grand China experience. Upon arrival, the restaurant might initially appear to be solely a takeout establishment, but it does indeed have seating for dine-in customers. The gentleman working during this particular visit was lauded as an excellent server, efficiently managing both the dine-in guests and the constant stream of takeout orders, as evidenced by the phone ringing "non stop" on a Thursday night. This highlights the restaurant's popularity and efficiency in handling a high volume of orders.
The reviewer specifically mentioned trying the chicken lo mein and the General Tso combo meal. The combo came with wonton soup, which was described as possibly the best ever tasted, with wontons full of meat and a flavorful broth. The egg roll, another component of the combo, was considered standard but still good. A significant highlight for this customer was the special fried rice that accompanied the meal. The General Tso's chicken was noted to be sweeter than at other places but still enjoyable. The chicken lo mein was praised for its generous amounts of vegetables and chicken.
The overall sentiment of this detailed review encourages potential customers not to judge the restaurant by its initial appearance. Despite possibly looking like a simple takeout place, Grand China offers excellent and well-priced food, coupled with commendable service. This suggests that the focus is primarily on the quality of the food and the customer experience, rather than elaborate decor.
In summary, Grand China Restaurant in Miami has cultivated a strong reputation for its exceptional and personable service, likely due to the family-run nature of the business and their dedication to remembering and catering to their customers' preferences. While primarily known for its efficient and reliable takeout service, it also offers a limited number of tables for dine-in customers who have reported an even more enhanced dining experience. The hot tea is noted for its authenticity, reminiscent of tea enjoyed in China. The menu features well-received dishes such as the chicken lo mein, General Tso combo (including standout wonton soup and special fried rice), and potentially generous portions suitable for sharing. Despite a modest appearance, Grand China is highly recommended for its excellent food quality and reasonable prices. Local users looking for a dependable Chinese Restaurant with a focus on both food and service should certainly consider Grand China Restaurant.

Customer Reviews
The Grand China location has been around for a long time, the family has done amazing in providing exceptional and personable service. They put a smile on my face when they remember what we like to order. Usually do take out which is always hot and ready when I get there. Recently sat down to eat, and it was an even better meal. If you like tea, their hot tea was just like the tea from my trip to China. Ordered plates to share, worth sharing meals that way.
Grand China was a great experience! When you first pull up and walk in, it looks like it is a take out only restaurant but they do have a few tables to sit down and eat. The gentleman working when we went was an excellent server on top of handling all of the take out orders they had. We were there on a Thursday night and the phone was ringing non stop with orders. We had the chicken lo mein and the general tso combo meal. The combination came with wonton soup which was probably the best I have ever had. Wontons were full of meat and the broth was flavorful. The egg roll was standard but good. The special fried rice that came with the meal was a highlight for me! The general tso was sweeter than other places but still good. The chicken lo mein had lots of veggies and chicken. Overall, donāt judge this place by its cover. The food was excellent and well priced!
I've ordered salt & pepper squid many times and it was always good, but tonight, I came home with 2 orders of salt & pepper squid, and both were overcooked and chewy, and the pepper steak was also quite too salty
The place is really good. I've been eating here for years. I enjoy the family friendly atmosphere. The soft music. The selection of foods that are always flavorful. Not to mention and give a shout out to Steven. He's the coolest and a great server to have around.
This place must be under new management after their recent status in dirty dining and being reopened. I thought it would be better but NO the beef with oyster sauce was actual pepper steak with pieces of rice in it. š„µDisgusting looking. The wonton soup taste like toilet water with soy sauce in it. I had to throw the soups away. I will never order from this place ever again. Gross! Another investigation must take place for sure.
