Based on recent online feedback, customer experiences at Grand China present a somewhat contrasting view. One reviewer had a positive experience, highlighting it as a "great little Chinese food stop" with an "awesome takeout experience," while also offering the option to dine in. This customer appreciated that the food is made to order rather than being served buffet style. They also noted the delicious taste and generous portion sizes, stating that Grand China has become their "new quick Chinese food spot." This positive review suggests that Grand China excels in providing freshly prepared food and efficient service, particularly for takeout.
However, another customer shared a significantly negative experience, expressing an initial desire to like the restaurant due to its convenience. This reviewer reported that their "fried rice" was simply brown rice without vegetables and tasted old. Furthermore, they found the texture of the chicken in their broccoli dish to be "slimy and un-firm." Adding to these concerns about food quality, they also mentioned a broken toilet and the presence of flies in the dining room. While they acknowledged that the people were "very nice" and the service was quick, these issues led them to conclude that they would not return. This negative review raises serious concerns about food quality, cleanliness, and the overall condition of the dining environment at the time of their visit.
Considering these two distinct experiences, it is challenging to form a definitive overall picture of Grand China. The positive review emphasizes the convenience, made-to-order food, good taste, and generous portions, particularly for takeout. On the other hand, the negative review points to significant issues with the quality of specific dishes (fried rice and chicken with broccoli), as well as concerning aspects of the restaurant's hygiene and maintenance (broken toilet, flies in the dining area). These contrasting opinions suggest that the quality and experience at Grand China might be inconsistent or that different customers have varying standards and expectations.
Regarding the environment of Grand China, the first review mentions the option to "sit and eat in," indicating that they have a dining area. However, the second review's comments about a broken toilet and flies in the dining room paint a concerning picture of the restaurant's upkeep and cleanliness at least during one customer's visit. Without further information, it is difficult to provide a comprehensive description of the typical dining environment. Potential customers might want to consider the more recent feedback regarding cleanliness and maintenance when making their decision about dining in.
In terms of services, Grand China offers both takeout and dine-in options, as explicitly mentioned by one of the reviewers. The positive feedback on the "awesome takeout experience" suggests efficiency and satisfaction with their to-go service. The quick service noted by the negative reviewer also indicates a focus on efficiency, although this was overshadowed by their other concerns. It is advisable for local users to contact Grand China directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about their specific service hours for both dine-in and takeout. They might also want to ask if they offer delivery services or any other conveniences for customers.
Features of Grand China, based on the available reviews, include a menu that offers standard Chinese cuisine prepared fresh to order, rather than a buffet style. The positive reviewer specifically highlighted this "made to order" aspect as a benefit. The generous portion sizes were also noted as a positive feature. However, the negative review's experience with the fried rice and chicken suggests potential inconsistencies in the preparation and quality of certain dishes. To understand the full range of their menu offerings, local users should contact the restaurant directly and inquire about their specific dishes, including appetizers, soups, main courses featuring various meats and vegetables, and rice and noodle dishes. Knowing the variety and types of cuisine they offer will help customers decide if their menu aligns with their preferences.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Grand China in the provided customer reviews. Chinese restaurants often offer lunch specials, combination platters, or discounts for takeout orders. Local users interested in potential deals or promotions should consider contacting Grand China directly or checking local online platforms or social media pages where they might advertise any special offers. Asking about any current promotions when placing an order or visiting the restaurant is always a good practice to potentially save money.
In conclusion, Grand China in Red Bank, TN, is a Chinese restaurant that offers both takeout and dine-in services, with food prepared fresh to order. While one customer praised their takeout experience, delicious food, and generous portions, another reported significant issues with food quality and the cleanliness/maintenance of the dining area. These contrasting experiences suggest a potential inconsistency in quality and service. Local users should consider these differing viewpoints when deciding whether to patronize Grand China. It would be prudent to inquire about their current food preparation standards and the condition of their dining environment before placing an order or visiting. Contacting them directly at (423) 870-0503 or +1 423-870-0503 for the most up-to-date information on their menu, services, and any potential promotions is recommended.

Great little Chinese food stop. Awesome takeout experience, or you can sit and eat in. Food is made to order, not buffet style. It also tases delicious and has generous portion sizes. This place has become Our new quick Chinese food spot.
Wanted to like this place because very convenient. However our “fried rice” was just brown rice with no veggies and it tasted old (as in far past the “best by date on package). The texture of the chicken (with broccoli) was slimy and un-firm. Sadly the toilet was broken and there were flies in the dining room. Very nice people and quick service but we will not return.
Honestly I should have listened to the reviews. Food was gross and almost inedible which is crazy to me because I can eat just about anything. Got the chicken lo main but it was watered down so much I couldn't really taste it. Chicken was just tiny, thin strings of chicken that didn't have much flavor. Almost $25 for two people (we both got lo main and shared one order of sugar donuts) the sugar donuts were good but it's really hard to go wrong with sweet bread and lots of sugar. Definitely not eating there again, I guess I'll update this if I get sick... :/
Good food and the service was great. We are glad we tried it this afternoon. We ate in this time, probably will just get it to go next time.
Grand China is a nice little place with good food and friendly service. I've been visiting since before they moved to their current Dayton location and will continue to do so whenever I get the chance. Lunch specials are filling and cheap (only $5) but I tend to order the dinner portions, which are enough to last two meals for me. My usuals are the Sesame Chicken, Beef & Broccoli, and Singapore Mei Fun, all of which have never disappointed. Staff is always friendly and helpful and usually find the opportunity to catch-up with regulars, which to me, is always a good sign for an establishment.
