About Gourmet House

Welcome to Gourmet House, a Chinese restaurant located at 46875 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539, dedicated to providing a satisfying dining experience with a focus on generous portions and flavorful dishes. As a Chinese restaurant in the Fremont area, we offer a diverse menu that includes popular dim sum items and various stir-fried dishes. For reservations or takeout orders, please contact us at (510) 270-8186 or our mobile number, +1 510-270-8186.

Based on the feedback from our valued customers, Gourmet House has garnered attention for its substantial dim sum offerings. One reviewer specifically noted that "the dim sum portions were all quite generous, and everything tasted great," emphasizing the value and quality of our dim sum selection. This positive feedback encourages diners to "try a variety of dishes" to fully experience the breadth of our dim sum menu. The same reviewer did mention a slight drawback with the BBQ pork bun, noting that "the dough was a bit tough and could use some improvement." However, this critique was an exception, as they concluded that "everything else was absolutely delicious!" This suggests that while we generally excel in our dim sum, we are also mindful of areas where we can refine our offerings.

Another customer expressed a particular fondness for our fried rice dishes, stating, "I love the fried rice dishes here." This highlights a specific strength in our menu, indicating that our fried rice is prepared with a flavor profile that resonates well with our patrons. The same reviewer also commented on our thin noodle stir-fry dishes, noting that they "looked good" but felt that our beef chow fun and dim sum were not quite up to their personal preferences. This suggests that while certain dishes are highly regarded, individual tastes can vary, and we continuously strive for consistency and quality across our entire menu.

Further feedback on our dim sum described it as "okay. Not bad but not great." This neutral assessment indicates that while our dim sum is generally acceptable, there might be room to elevate it further to achieve widespread acclaim. Similarly, a review of our beef chow fun pointed out that it was "too greasy without good wok chi," and the "soy sauce flavor was not able to come through." However, this critique was balanced by positive remarks, noting that the dish was "not too salty" and the beef used was "generous and not low quality." This detailed feedback is valuable as it helps us understand specific areas for improvement in our cooking techniques and flavor profiles.

In contrast to the comments on beef chow fun, another reviewer explicitly praised our fried rice, stating that it "has better wok chi and flavor is on point." This reinforces the earlier positive feedback on our fried rice and suggests that we excel in this particular category of our menu. The presence of "wok chi," a subtle smoky flavor imparted by a hot wok, is a hallmark of well-prepared Cantonese-style stir-fried dishes, indicating that our chefs possess the skill to achieve this desirable culinary characteristic in our fried rice.

Based on these reviews, Gourmet House features generous portions, particularly in our dim sum offerings, which are generally well-received. Our fried rice dishes appear to be a standout favorite, praised for their flavor and the presence of good wok chi. While our beef chow fun and certain aspects of our dim sum, such as the BBQ pork bun, have received mixed feedback, the quality of ingredients, such as the generous and not low-quality beef in the chow fun, is acknowledged. This suggests that Gourmet House provides a dining experience with both strengths and areas for potential refinement.

The dim sum portions were all quite generous, and everything tasted great. It’s definitely worth trying a variety of dishes. The only downside was the BBQ pork bun—the dough was a bit tough and could use some improvement. But everything else was absolutely delicious!

I love the fried rice dishes here. Their thin noodle stir fry dishes looked good but it misses the mark for beef chow fun and dim sum for me. Dim sum is okay. Not bad but not great. Beef chow fun was too greasy without good wok chi. The soy sauce flavor was not able to come through. Although not too salty and the beef used is generous and not low quality. Their fried rice has better wok chi and flavor is on point.

We came here on a whim after shopping next door at Osaka and were SO GLAD we did! The food is absolutely delicious, prepared perfectly, with fresh vegetables and ingredients. Definitely will come here again.

They have an extensive menu, and I must have ordered the wrong thing. Their seafood soup seemed sweet sour sauce or sweet chil sauce based. Starch for thickening, tofu and seafood including lobster bits. If they bring you anything to the table they will charge you for it. Small dish of fish was half the price of an entire meal and not that great.

This restaurant sounds very crowded and noisy. Each table so near . My friend said they could get a reservation online, but the waiter said they didn't taking any reservations . The quality of the food is not good, it feels like frozen food. We ordered lobster pasta, which was very tasteless. The noodles had no texture at all , The lobster meat was soft and soggy and should have been frozen. I don’t think I will come back here again.
