About Goody

Goody is a Chinese restaurant located at 5100 Eldorado Pkwy in McKinney, Texas. They can be contacted at (972) 540-0888 or +1 972-540-0888.

Customer reviews present contrasting opinions. One reviewer expressed surprise at the restaurant's low rating, noting that while the rice wasn't exceptional, they thoroughly enjoyed their Hunan spicy beef lunch deal. This included two sides: a tender and filling chicken on a stick, and dumplings (though they preferred fried, they speculated the steamed ones were also good). They also liked the veggie egg roll and described the seating area as pretty small, characterizing the operation as a friendly "mom and pops" establishment.

However, another customer had a severely negative experience, reporting that their Kung Pao chicken was moldy. Upon returning the dish, they claimed the restaurant staff denied it was theirs, suggesting the customer had added white sauce, frozen it, or that it was four days old, despite being ordered the previous night.

For local users considering Goody, it appears to be a small, family-run Chinese restaurant that offers lunch specials and a variety of dishes. While one customer had a positive experience with the Hunan beef and sides, another reported a significant food safety issue. Potential customers may want to consider these differing accounts when deciding whether to dine here.

I don’t know why this place is rated so low. The only thus significantly important the rice wasn’t that good. But I ordered a hunan spicy beef lunch deal. With 2 sides one chicken on a stick which was so tender and filling, and dumplings which I prefer fried but I bet the steamed ones are good. Pretty small seating area. Friendly mom and pops operation going on here. I also enjoyed the veggie egg roll.

Ordered the Kung Pao chicken was molded. Took it back to them, and they said it wasn't there's and that I must have put white sauce in it or put it in the freezer out or was 4 days old. It was literally ordered the night before.

I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for 8 years now and the food is always delicious. I usually get the house fried rice with the house Lo Mein with whatever other appetizers and main dish we want. I recommend it. Don’t order delivery. Always order take out.

We just moved here from St. Paul MN - this place is like a little bit of home away from home. Excellent service, great food! The fried rice is actually real fried rice - not the brown rice like at other "Chinese restaurants " in the area. Will come back!

This is actually not a bad place to get food. It is built more for takeout than dine in. Only 2-3 tables in the place. I thought the food was tasty. I'll be back.
