Goldenview Chinese Restaurant

II recently visited Goldenview Chinese Restaurant and had a mixed experience. The food was satisfactory, but unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations. Our server seemed unfamiliar with standard dining protocols, and we were surprised when asked to pay an additional fee for dining in. This unexpected charge was not clearly stated on the menu or communicated at the outset, which caused confusion. While the food was adequate, the subpar service and unclear pricing detracted from our overall experience. With some improvement in these areas, Goldenview Chinese Restaurant has the potential to become a more enjoyable destination for diners

Ordered combo 6 ($16.50) after tax and boy was it a disaster. The fried rice was burnt, the vegetables were not fully cooked, and the spare ribs was so greasy it was disgusting. The only redeeming thing was that the beef wasn't too bad, and the portion size was reasonable. The store itself is a takeout counter with 3 tables to sit at.

***Update May 2021*** This Chinese / Canadian restaurant is the GOLD standard IMHO. Man, their flavours and "Wok-Hey" on their combo dinners or lunch specials are simply outstanding. They are the exception to this category of Chinese restaurants. They really have amped up flavours for all discerning foodies. Give them a try and let us all know what you think. They get and deserve 5 STARS !!! Please support these local Mom & Pop restaurants. This is a Home Run into left field alley at a ball speed of 108 MPH !!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I happened upon this restaurant as I was driving through the area. I have never realized that there was a Chinese restaurant before. So I decided to order take out lunch. I ordered the C1 and the C8. The portions were quite generous and I particularly enjoyed the chicken chow menu in the C1 ( Bean Sprouts ) and the chicken balls. They were rather memorable. Service was quick and efficient. A++ experience all the way here.

The food here is soooo delicious! Every dish was flavourful with every bite. Portions were generous, the quality of the food and service was just amazing. Will definitely be coming back😋

Highly recommended ! In town for a soccer tournament rolled the dice on take out and won the lottery. We ordered a dinner for 5, it came complete with plates and cutlery. This was some of the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. Great job to all at the Golden View !
