About Golden Wok Restaurant

Welcome to Golden Wok Restaurant, a Chinese dining establishment located at 16668 Soledad Canyon Rd in Canyon Country, California. You can reach them at (661) 424-0888 or their mobile number +1 661-424-0888 for inquiries or to place an order. Based on recent customer feedback available online, Golden Wok Restaurant appears to offer some notable advantages, such as generous portion sizes and freshly cooked meals, alongside a mention of potential inconsistencies in food preparation.

One customer who stopped by for a quick lunch had a very positive experience. They were particularly impressed by the "enormous" portion sizes, suggesting that Golden Wok offers substantial value in terms of the amount of food served. This reviewer also highlighted the fact that the food is "cook to order," which resulted in their meal being "very hot and fresh." This is a significant plus, indicating a commitment to serving freshly prepared dishes rather than food that has been sitting for an extended period. Furthermore, this customer found the prices to be "very reasonable," making Golden Wok an attractive option for those seeking both quality and affordability. Their positive experience concluded with a definite intention to return, signaling high satisfaction.

In contrast, another customer who tried the "Teriyaki chicken bowl" had a less favorable experience. They found the dish to be "very salty" and raised concerns about the freshness of the chicken, suggesting it might have been "a couple of days old." This feedback points to a potential inconsistency in food quality or preparation for certain dishes. Despite this negative assessment of the food, this reviewer did note that the "service was nice," indicating that the staff provided a positive interaction, even if the food did not meet expectations. The overall experience, however, led this customer to state they "wouldn't comeback," highlighting the significant impact of food quality on their dining decision.

As a Chinese Restaurant, Golden Wok likely offers a variety of classic Chinese-American dishes, potentially including stir-fries, noodle and rice dishes, soups, and various meat, poultry, and seafood entrees. The positive review mentioning made-to-order food suggests that they might have a more traditional kitchen setup where dishes are prepared individually upon ordering, which can contribute to freshness and the ability to customize some meals. The teriyaki chicken bowl mentioned in the negative review indicates that their menu might also include some Japanese-inspired items or dishes that are popular in American Chinese cuisine.

Information about the environment of Golden Wok Restaurant is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the mention of stopping by for a "quick lunch" suggests a casual setting that accommodates both those looking for a quick bite and potentially those wanting to dine in. The fact that food is cooked to order doesn't necessarily dictate a specific ambiance, but it often implies a kitchen that is focused on preparing individual meals with attention to detail. To get a better understanding of the restaurant's decor, seating arrangements, and overall atmosphere, one would likely need to visit the location or look for additional online information such as photos or more detailed reviews.

In terms of services, Golden Wok Restaurant clearly offers dine-in options, as customers have eaten lunch there. The mention of food being cooked to order suggests that they take individual orders at the counter or tables. It is also highly probable that they offer takeout services, allowing customers to order food for pickup. Many Chinese restaurants also provide delivery services, either directly or through third-party apps. To confirm if Golden Wok offers delivery and to inquire about their operating hours, it would be best to contact them directly via phone.

Features of Golden Wok Restaurant, based on the reviews, include the reportedly "enormous" portion sizes, which can be a significant draw for value-conscious customers. The practice of cooking food to order is another notable feature, as it typically results in hotter and fresher meals. The "reasonable prices" mentioned by one reviewer add to the appeal. However, a potential concern is the inconsistency in food quality, as highlighted by the overly salty and potentially stale teriyaki chicken. The "nice service" mentioned in the negative review is a positive aspect of their customer interaction.

The provided reviews do not contain any information about specific promotional offers or discounts at Golden Wok Restaurant. To learn about any current specials, lunch menus, or other promotions, local users should consider checking online platforms where the restaurant might be listed, such as Yelp or Google Maps, or contacting them directly by phone. Many local restaurants offer daily specials or discounts that are not always mentioned in general reviews.

In conclusion, Golden Wok Restaurant in Canyon Country offers the potential for a satisfying Chinese meal with large portions, freshly prepared food, and reasonable prices, as reported by one customer. However, another customer's negative experience with a salty and possibly old teriyaki chicken dish indicates that there might be inconsistencies in food quality. The service seems to be generally pleasant. For local users considering Golden Wok, it might be prudent to inquire about the freshness and preparation of specific dishes when ordering and to weigh the positive reports of generous portions and fresh cooking against the potential for variability in food quality. Checking for any current promotions or specials directly with the restaurant could also enhance the value of the dining experience.

Tried the Teriyaki chicken bowl. It was very salty, and chicken was probably a couple of days old. I wouldn't comeback. Service was nice.

I am so sad because this place is so so yummy. I've tried for over a year to find a good Chinese food place that will make broccoli tofu instead of broccoli beef and the first time we came here, they did it for me! It was phenomenal, it's my favorite meal so I was very very happy to have found this. Tonight we came again and I had the same request but this time they said no. The poor cashier was very kind to me and even asked again but they still said no. This meant so much to me that I actually (embarrassingly) cried out of disappointment because I was looking forward to it for weeks. Unfortunately that was the only thing to keep me coming back so we probably won't be returning :( The food is really actually very good so if you aren't like me I would still recommend it.

Just Happen to stop by because the outside name stood out and considering restaurant being in a high-end area this place disappointed miserably! What they serve has nothing to do with Teriyaki, and honestly the food was garbage. Broke my heart to have spend my last $17 considering how expensive things are now! Orange chicken plate and Thai tea with boba absolutely worst I've tried!

Lovely little Chinese Restaurant here in the east side of the S.C.V. Service here is excellent as is their food. Ordered #15 Honey Walnut Shrimp to dine in. The Chow Mein and Rice were great, but the Shrimp and Walnuts were Superb! So scrumptious and flavorful with just the right amount of crunch. Veggies were great too! Ordered #5 to go and have yet to dig into that one. All in all a perfect dining experience, for a fast food Chinese Restaurant. The Cashier is sweet and customer service oriented. Despite being the only one in the restaurant initially, she would run to the kitchen and back to ensure orders were ready upon the arrival of their customers. Will be back For Sure! And I will make sure to try their Spicy Garlic Soy Edamame for $3.99! I can only imagine how good that is....
