Golden Wok

I typically go to the Golden Wok on Wurzbach but today I had dinner at this location. The food took a long time to come out but it was very good. We ordered two plates with extra steamed rice. The food was awesome and didn't disappoint and the servings were huge. I can not rave enough about the pork fried rice. It's the best !

I grew up eating Golden Wok since I was 7 years old. Never have I ever been treated so rudely by them. Today I did an online order for delivery. I ordered the lettuce wrap and basically got a bag of lettuce nothing usable to make a wrap at all. When I called the restaurant I was told to take it up with the delivery company. I explained to them there wasn't an issue with the order there was an issue with the food itself which they made. But the manager spoke over me and told me I had to deal with the delivery company..... In my opinion, they aren't the ones who made and packed the food, Golden Wok is. I'm extremely disappointed on how they just disregarded me.

I recently had lunch with a group of coworkers at Golden Wok, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing, especially for one of my coworkers and me, as it was our first time visiting this restaurant. While the cuisine is Chinese, what stood out most wasn’t the food, but the concerning issue with food safety. We order lunch specials and dim sum. One of the dim sum orders was steamed shrimp and each dumpling contains a whole shrimp. Two of the four shrimp dumplings served to us contained raw shrimp (see picture). This was discovered as my coworkers cut into their dumpling, one noticed it was tough to cut through one and she found raw shrimp in hers then the other coworker cut into the another dumpling and it also contained a raw shrimp. We reported this issue to the manager, but instead of showing concern or urgency, she seemed indifferent and offered a credit for the dumplings in a manner that felt more annoyed than apologetic. It’s a serious concern when customer service is so poor, especially in a situation that involves potential food safety risks. Overall, the service was mediocre, and the customer service from the manager was terrible. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Golden Wok.

Waited almost an hour for food to arrive. Unfortunately had to take it to go, I come home to eat it and the chicken was completely pink. There was no bones no nothing just pink! This is truly unacceptable and I have never had issues with this place before.

Food is always fresh from the stove and portion and quality never fails us. We love dining in here for dimsum, one of the good places for it. We didn’t order their lunch menu but we saw that a lot of customers have it and for the price it was really good portion. The service is always fast and staff is always approachable and smiling. The place have indoor seats only but they offer boot, high chair or bar table.
