Golden Shanghai Restaurant

I have never had great Chinese food in the Denver metro until I had an outstanding dinner at Golden Shanghai. The food was hot, fresh, and plentiful. The manager and his staff were welcoming and some of the most friendly people I've met. All of the appetizers and entrees were spectacular. I'll definitely return very soon.

I have been to this place before I was not impressed but now I have to say with the added on sushi service and looks like a beautiful remodel is done. It is a completely different space. I enjoyed the sushi experience. It’s nice to find cute mom pop shops that have sushi in it on the side of town. Absolutely delicious, amazing hospitality, friendly service, and quality food. I truly enjoyed how they renovated and change the space. It is so much more wider and definitely a place to bring more people that has a calm elegance to.

Nice dine in area. Food was better than average Chinese restaurant. Crispy duck had a salty crunchy skin and the sauce complimented it well. Great atmosphere for date or somewhat formal dinner. Portions were very shareable. White rice was not my favorite though.

The food here is incredible! The Szechuan beef is bursting with flavor, and the sesame chicken is cooked to absolute perfection. The wonton soup is served hot and fresh, while the edamame is cooked just right. Both the fried rice and white rice are absolutely delicious. The portions are generous, so come hungry! Whether you're dining in or getting takeout, this hidden gem is a must-try. The staff is super friendly! Soe, the manager, is one of the friendliest, most welcoming people you’ll meet—making sure you feel like the most important customer. I give this place a solid 10/10 and will definitely be back!

Monday 11/18 Placed order @ 2:14PM - Ticket #19 - Server Dana: Just coming back to Denver from a long Boulder medical procedure. Have patronized this restaurant for decades, wanted something hot. Called from our car and was only 15 min's out. ONLY Ordered 2 items: 1 Sesame Tofu + 1 Egg roll - asked for no silverware, napkins or extra sauce packets. Picked up, went home and opened the bag. Sauce containers were there, but NO egg roll. It is WELL after the busier lunch hour. Very slow kitchen. Only 2 items packaged up & ready to go into brown bag, with sauce containers right there - and silverware, soy sauce & fortune cookies were added. Ticket with TWO ordered items printed out and ready to be stapled to the bag. SERVER / TEAM FAIL!!!! How could they miss NOT seeing 2 items need to go into the bag? Look & THINK as you are packing......why else would you include mustard & sweet sauce containers (for egg rolls...??) Servers/Kitchen Crew need remedial counting, order checking and order packaging training immediately. Good Sesame Tofu but......cannot believe they could miss TWO items.
