Golden Plate II

The staff was friendly and our food came out very quickly. We got the Family dinner and I chose the Sizzling Beef Tenderloin w/Black Pepper which was delicious! The Spicy Shrimp w/Hot & Sour Garlic Sauce my wife got as her entree was also very good.

This place is a hidden gem in Lakewood! It's located in an older shopping center so it's not super easy to find, but worth it if you're in the area. We ordered the Hong Kong Special Pan Fried Noodles along with the Volcano Steak, which they actually lit on fire! The food was delicious and the staff was quite attentive. I will be returning here soon.

If you want to be able hear your date chew their food, this is the best place to go. The ambiance at Golden Plate II is something to behold because it's quieter than a church at midnight and it looks like a restaurant you would find in GTA 5. The food is amazing, though! My friend and I ordered the Volcano Steak and the Pan Fried House Special Noodles. I recommend both of them and the Volcano Steak is aptly named for its added flare. When the server brought it out, he poured 151 on the steak and then lit it on fire. Ooohh! Also, as cool as that flame show was, I think it was used to tenderize the meat, which worked well. The service was quick, but the server had Lurch vibes, ya know, from The Addams Family. Ultimately, Golden Plate II is a hidden gem in the Lakewood area. It also looks a little sketchy on the outside, but looks can be deceiving.

Golden Plate II has been our family’s go-to spot for over 20 years, and we truly hope they stay open forever! This hidden gem offers amazing flavors and dishes that always hit the spot. Some of our all-time favorites are the Sesame Pocket, Sizzling Rice Soup, and Pan-Fried Noodles with Beef, Crispy Tofu Shrimp, each one is absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. Beyond the food, this sweet, family-owned restaurant holds a special place in our hearts. We’ve made so many wonderful memories here over the years, and the amazing flavors keeps us coming back. We highly recommend Golden Plate II to anyone looking for incredible food. We’ll remain loyal customers for many years to come!

My new go-to for delicious and fast Chinese food. I’ve only ever ordered takeout from this place and each time it’s been great and hot! The portions are always very filling. The service is always friendly over the phone. The garlic chicken and vegetable lo mein are my personal faves.
