About Golden Dragon

Welcome to Golden Dragon, a Chinese restaurant situated at 2060 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd in the Harlem neighborhood of New York, NY 10027, USA. As a Chinese restaurant in this vibrant part of New York City, Golden Dragon aims to serve the local community with a variety of Chinese culinary offerings. They can be contacted at (212) 866-3988 or via their mobile number +1 212-866-3988 for inquiries.

When choosing a restaurant, especially in a city with as many options as New York, understanding the experiences of other customers can be particularly valuable. Online reviews often provide insights into aspects such as food quality, service efficiency, and the overall dining experience, although it's important to remember that these are individual perspectives.

One customer review for Golden Dragon raises significant concerns regarding the restaurant's policies on phone orders and customer service. This reviewer, who claims to be a loyal customer, recounts an experience where they were allegedly told that the restaurant does not take phone orders after missing a previous order. The reviewer suggests that the owner makes arbitrary rules and that the customer service representatives relay inconsistent information. Despite acknowledging that the food might be "good or whatever," this customer strongly advises against eating from Golden Dragon due to these perceived issues with the owner's policies and the resulting customer service.

Another customer review describes their first experience with Golden Dragon, noting that dine-in options were unavailable, and they had to pick up their dinner. This reviewer explicitly states, "there were no seating or dine in options. Please see the video. Not even a single chair or seat." This indicates that, at least at the time of this review, Golden Dragon operated primarily, if not exclusively, as a takeout establishment. Furthermore, this reviewer found the food to be "below average," mentioning that "all chicken dishes tasted same." This suggests a lack of distinctiveness or quality in the preparation of their chicken dishes.

Based on these two reviews, it appears that Golden Dragon currently operates primarily as a takeout restaurant, with no dine-in facilities observed by at least one recent customer. There are conflicting opinions on the food quality, with one reviewer suggesting it is generally good, while another found it to be below average with a lack of differentiation among chicken dishes. Additionally, there are serious concerns raised about the restaurant's policies regarding phone orders and the consistency and quality of customer service, particularly as it relates to handling order issues.

As a Chinese restaurant, Golden Dragon likely offers a menu featuring a range of popular Chinese dishes. However, the limited information from the reviews does not provide specific details about their menu offerings beyond the mention of chicken dishes tasting the same. Typically, Chinese restaurants in New York City offer a variety of dishes including fried rice, noodles, various meat and vegetable stir-fries, soups, and appetizers. Given the takeout-focused nature indicated by one review, their menu would likely be well-suited for packaging and transport.

The address, 2060 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd in Harlem, New York City, places Golden Dragon in a busy and well-known area. The provision of both a landline and a mobile phone number suggests that they are accessible for placing orders and inquiries. However, the negative review regarding phone order policies indicates that there might be specific rules or limitations on ordering via phone that potential customers should be aware of.

For local users in Harlem and the surrounding areas of New York City considering Golden Dragon, these reviews offer a mixed and somewhat concerning picture. The lack of dine-in options seems to be a significant factor for some. The conflicting opinions on food quality make it difficult to assess this aspect definitively based on just two reviews. The serious allegations regarding phone order policies and customer service raised by one reviewer should also be taken into consideration.

Given the limited and somewhat negative feedback available, it would be advisable for potential customers to seek more recent reviews from other online platforms to get a broader sense of the current customer experience at Golden Dragon. These platforms might provide more insights into the consistency of their food quality, the efficiency of their takeout service, and any updates to their policies regarding phone orders or dine-in options.

To obtain the most accurate and up-to-date information about Golden Dragon, including their current menu, hours of operation, and any specific policies regarding ordering and service, contacting the restaurant directly at (212) 866-3988 or +1 212-866-3988 is recommended. This will allow you to ask specific questions based on your needs and preferences and to get firsthand information about their current offerings and service model.

In conclusion, Golden Dragon is a Chinese restaurant located in Harlem, New York City, that appears to primarily offer takeout services. Customer reviews present concerns regarding their policies on phone orders and inconsistent food quality. Local users are encouraged to consider these points and seek additional reviews or contact the restaurant directly for the most current information before placing an order.

The owner of this restaurant will punish you from ordering food on the phone. If you do not pick up an order or you miss an order and instead of Iโ€™m telling you this, they keep on telling you that they do not take orders over the phone despite you being a loyal customer eating from their restaurant all the time the food is good or whatever itโ€™s just the owner makes up whatever rules he wants to make and let his customer service people that pick up the phone. Tell you whatever I do not recommend eating from here.need

My go to Chinese Restaurant. Their food is very good, fresh and well prepared most of the time (compliments to the cook). When it wasn't, I spoke to the people taking my order to ensure it is next time around and they very much made it right. Good portions, good prices and the people taking the order are very nice, polite and professional. Does not get any better in the area from all the other Chinese Restaurants I tried ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

I placed an order at 6:21pm and was told it will arrive 40 to 45 minutes. On a Friday that is acceptable. However, 1 hour later, I called the restaurant asking for a status on my order. The staff kept me on the phone for 20 mins trying to get in touch with the delivery driver, which they could not. Finally, while on the phone with the staff, the delivery driver arrives at 7:50pm. I asked why are you so late, and he says, "I was busy". As a discount, the restaurant offered a free egg roll on my next order. Clearly, unacceptable, and the food was cold upon arrival, they finally took $5.00 off the current order. The staff was not considerate enough to comp the current order or a future order. This shows the lack of respect they have for the community supporting their business. It is clear, when it comes to running a business, regardless of the cheap costs of ingredients to make Chinese food, they are not willing to be accountable for their poor customer service, to offer a fair monetary discount. A $5 discount is insulting and disrespectful to a once loyal customer of 2 years.
