Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

The food wasn’t very good. It could be because we arrived on the late side of lunch. I suppose the best part of the experience was our server. She was on top of everything. I don’t think we will return but overall it was fun because we spent time with family, reminiscing on when we used to eat at our own Golden Corral before it closed after Covid.

A lot of the food was very bland. No seasoning at all. Rice over cooked. Meatloaf and tacos were good, as well as bourbon chicken. Bathrooms were disgusting.

It all started with being warmly welcomed in. It was my first experience here and I must say, I was impressed. I didn't really know what I wanted so I made myself a little sampling plate and went back for more of what I liked. The food was fresh and quite delicious. I was surprised. There was such a variety of dishes to choose from along with a salad bar and dessert bar. Nice! The table service was pretty good too. Plates never piled up on the table. The atmosphere was comfortable, very spacious and hand sanitizer stations were strategically placed throughout for our safety. $14.99 for lunch wasn't bad at all.

I wrote a review 6 years ago and gave it 5 stars. I've eaten here several times since and still cannot heap enough praise on this place. I mean for $18 today (price has gone up over time understandably) you're gonna get all you can eat tender and juicy sirloin steak right off the grill, fried shrimp and a whole lot of other great food. I cannot understand why this place doesn't have a line out the door all day every day. I think people just assume that because it's a buffet that the food will be bad or so so at best. Ok so they don't trim the steaks much so you may have to cut off the fatty parts or grisle but the parts that are good are excellent. The steaks are not like the thin tough leather pieces of meat that places like the defunct country or home town buffets used to serve. In my opinion the sirloin here is better than most casual chain sit downs including Chili's, Applebee's, and restaurants similar to that and even Outback, Roadhouse, or Longhorns depending on which cuts of beef you order from those places. If you're looking to spend less than $40 on a steak dinner (this one is $18), you will be hard pressed to find better than Golden Corral. And just to be fair they do offer a lot of other food that is good too. I'm just saying that the steak alone is worth more than the cost of the buffet.

This place was amazing! This was my first experience ever at Golden corral, and all that I've heard about this place were good words and my gosh they did NOT let me down in the slightest!
