Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

On Sunday, our experience was not as positive as we had hoped. While the food was okay, the mashed potatoes did not meet our expectations. Additionally, we felt that our server was quite distant, we didn't receive any greeting until we approached the front for drink refills. I understand that she may have been busy, but a little acknowledgment would have made us feel more attended to.

One of the few places that still offers a salad bar, which is why we eat here occasionally. We have found that these salad items are most fresh if we go late afternoon on Saturdays. Still offering at least three options on greens (romaine lettuce; spinach; spring mix). Fewer topping choices than before the pandemic (no beans? no beets?). But still standard things like carrots, broccoli, cucumber, sweet peppers, cherry tomatoes, grated cheeses, etc. Hot vegetables reliably include baked potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, steamed broccoli, steamed carrots, and sweet corn. As vegetarians, we can make a meal of this! But even when they're busy, the temperature of the food is unpredictable.

AMAZING, lady at the front was very welcoming and don't make feel like a fat ass 😭 . All the cooks are so nice and the owner come up to say hi and welcome 🥺!!!. I will always love golden corral. Amazing food, pot roast is 100% best thing here . Many dessert options. I'm from McHenry area we're we don't have a golden corral, never gonna experience this out there.

For a place where you have to depend on employees to clean your table off and refill your drinks, this place is pathetic. Took my family there to enjoy a night out and instantly regretted it. Should have stuck to my original plan as some of the female employees there act like you are bothering them for any thing. We wanted to like the place but the employees showed us the worst part about this Golden Coral location.

Food was great! The popcorn shrimp were fresh and not oily or fishy. The turkey was spot on! And pretty much tried a little of everything and was great. Staff was friendly and the server always came to check up on our drinks at the right time. Me and my family grabbed 3 rounds of food and finished with some bread pudding and ice cream. Really satisfying Sunday lunch
