Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

This place is great for lunch and dinner. Everyone can eat whatever they want. The sweet bar is just unbelievable, and the place is clean.

I haven't been to a buffet like this in along time it was absolutely delicious everything was fresh cooks are on top of not letting anything empty always restocking and rotating clean and very friendly staff I highly recommend this place

I am a vegetarian and I was not expecting much from a buffet restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food at Golden Corral. They had a lot of options for vegetarians, such as salads, soups, pasta, rice, beans, and even some meatless dishes. The food was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. I especially enjoyed the cheese pizza. The service was also excellent. Our waiter, Ulyses, was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. He checked on us frequently, refilled our drinks, and cleared our plates. I would definitely recommend Golden Corral to anyone looking for a satisfying and affordable meal, whether they are vegetarian or not. It was a great experience and I will be coming back soon.

The majority of food that we ate tasted like plastic. The spaghetti was watery and cold and the mostaccioli was also cold it had what looked like mozzarella cheese in it but it was so hard because it was cold. The mashed potatoes the Fried Chicken had an aftertaste that was not good. The sweet potato with marshmallows was cold and also had a taste like plastic. We couldn't figure out why everything tasted like plastic. Is it because the food is covered with plastic wool it is inside the heated containers that hold the food until it's needed to be put out? I was so sad and so is my family that this was a horrible horrible experience to have to have food to taste of this bad. This is the first Golden Corral I have ever been to that had bad food in cold food which was supposed to be hot I will be calling the Health Inspector to go check out what is wrong. We had diarrhea for 2 days. We will never recommend or go to this Golden Corral in Bolingbrook again. It should be shut down an inspected buy a health inspector before he opened again. This is not normal to be taste and plastic on food. The only food that I could say that tasted like food was a piece of steak I had that was cooked medium but it was too tough to eat and some little tiny breaded shrimp other than that the food was horrible I usually never never give negative reviews especially this bad of a review. But it was awful and getting diarrhea for 2 days was awful also. We were wondering why on a Friday night it's 6:00 p.m. if the parking lot was empty and the restaurant was half empty. That should have been a clue for us. Now we know why it was half empty because the food was not good. I truly believe we got food poisoning because we both had diarrhea for 2 days. As you can see in the photo most of the chairs are empty

The food is what you expect from a Golden Corral. It was okay, bland, and some times cold. Our server was nice. But one thing I didn’t appreciate is the manager telling one of the cooks that she was moving too slow and that if she couldn’t move faster he would have someone else “replace her” Whether that meant that he was threatening to fire her, or just move her elsewhere, that is still an inappropriate conversation to have in front of customers. I was actually appalled that this was happening in front of my eyes. He needs to learn to treat his staff better. Also, don’t go into the bathrooms in the middle of eating. It will literally ruin your appetite. It smells like a whole sewer in there and I almost threw up. They should have more regard for their customers. I don’t think I’ll be coming to this location again
