About Golden Chopsticks

Golden Chopsticks is a Chinese restaurant situated at 1110 N Collins St in Arlington, Texas. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, Golden Chopsticks aims to provide a range of Chinese culinary options for the community. While specific details about the restaurant's ambiance and decor are not provided in the available reviews, it functions as a place where individuals can purchase and enjoy Chinese cuisine.

Based on the limited customer feedback, experiences at Golden Chopsticks appear to be varied. One reviewer expressed a highly positive sentiment, describing the restaurant as "excellent." This customer specifically praised the attentiveness of the staff, despite a perceived language barrier, and found the food to be very tasty. Notably, they mentioned that the Chinese rice served at Golden Chopsticks was the most similar they had found to Venezuelan Chinese rice, suggesting a potentially unique or specific style of preparation that caters to certain palates.

However, another review presents a starkly contrasting experience. This customer described Golden Chopsticks as the "Worst Chinese Restaurant EVER!" They found the food to be "TASTELESS," a significant criticism for a cuisine often associated with robust flavors. Furthermore, this reviewer alleged a dismissive attitude towards customers and a primary focus on profit. Specific issues were raised regarding order accuracy and ingredient proportions. The customer reported receiving plain rice instead of fried rice with only egg, a pepper steak dish with a disproportionate amount of peppers and onions compared to the steak, and a very small portion of fried noodles. Attempts to communicate these issues were reportedly hindered by a language barrier with the staff. When the customer contacted someone who spoke English, their request for assistance at the restaurant was declined, with the explanation that the restaurant was busy and that speaking English was not necessary for their customer base. This negative review paints a picture of significant dissatisfaction with both the food quality and the customer service.

Given the limited and conflicting nature of the available reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive and definitively objective introduction to Golden Chopsticks. The positive review highlights attentive service and a specific style of Chinese rice that may appeal to some, while the negative review raises serious concerns about the flavor of the food, order accuracy, ingredient proportions, and customer service, including communication difficulties due to a perceived language barrier with the staff.

Potential customers may want to consider these contrasting experiences when deciding whether to visit Golden Chopsticks. The positive feedback suggests that there might be aspects of the restaurant, such as the attentiveness of some staff members and possibly certain dishes like their specific style of Chinese rice, that some individuals may find appealing. However, the negative feedback regarding tasteless food, order issues, and customer service should also be taken into consideration.

It is important to note that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not be representative of every customer's interaction with Golden Chopsticks. However, they provide valuable insights into potential strengths and weaknesses of the establishment based on recent feedback.

Due to the mixed reviews, potential diners might approach their visit with tempered expectations and perhaps focus on trying dishes that have received positive mentions, such as the Chinese rice, while being mindful of the reported issues with other menu items and potential communication challenges.

In conclusion, Golden Chopsticks is a Chinese restaurant in Arlington, TX, that has received both positive comments regarding attentive (though potentially non-English speaking) staff and a unique style of Chinese rice, as well as significant criticism concerning the taste of the food, order accuracy, ingredient proportions, and customer service. Prospective customers should weigh these contrasting opinions when considering dining at this establishment.

Excellent restaurant. The gentlemen, although they do not speak English very well, are very attentive and the food is very tasty. the most similar Chinese rice to Venezuelan Chinese rice. It's not the best photo but the food was really good.

Worst Chinese Restaurant EVER! The Food is TASTELESS! Most Asian food is full of flavor. You won’t get that here. Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had!! They are very dismissive of the customer. They are only about the dollar.. The staff does not speak a word of English, therefore when I requested fried rice with no veggies only egg, I was presented with plain rice. I ordered pepper steak, my tray was full of peppers & onions with very little steak. I ordered fried noodles & literally got @ 10 sticks in a bag that would generally go on a salad. I tried to explain my order, the staff didn’t understand & called someone. This person spoke English. I explained the situation & told him it’s hard to communicate my order with the staff when they don’t speak English & if he could come to the restaurant. He stated that their restaurant has customers so there is no need to speak English & he is at another shop & cannot come. Waste of money. And I’m still hungry 😡

My food took over 50 minutes, so my lunch time was over. I had to take it to-go and go hungry and eat it for dinner. chicken and broccoli with rice lunch special. Not even a complicated order. Chicken has red food coloring and I'm not sure where it's from.

Trip to Dallas, it was a pretty good place to eat more like a mom pops hole in the wall. Food was hot and had a pretty good taste to it. Had never been here so when we first walked in the guy at the counter was just looking like we knew what to do so I had to ask do we sit or what... He was like sit and look at the menu and come back to the front and place your order. They should have told us when we walked in how it works but other than that they were sooo nice and pleasant.
