Golden Chef

Fast service good customer service skills. I got two thingies of chicken wings for my family; Chicken does not taste good, not well cooked. (I don’t eat meat, but my son didn’t eat it 4 others didn’t like it). Pork fried rice was OK, & that’s a silent ok. (My dad is the only one that somewhat enjoyed it) I got the shrimp fried rice. It was not cooked and tasted old if that makes sense.

I always ate here, never had a problem till now and never again!! I found a piece of metal mixed in my food, when I called about it, I was called a liar, I have no reason to lie.

To all that might be thinking about ordering from Golden Chef restaurant I caution you for this reason if you are having it delivered via door dash and you don't select utincles, condiments, napkins or chopsticks 🥢 you won't get anything other than your food so they don't waste money. Taste 1- 10 only because the order was correct. No flavor and it wasn't even hot 🔥. DO BETTER! Nothing tasted good!!

My family ordered 3 meals takeout. We were surprised at just how much food there was, the portions are huge. We love asian food and we were quite happy with our food. The mu sho was delicious. I don't understand the bad reviews, we thought it was great.

After moving to Roxbury, I struggled to find a local Chinese food place that had great fried rice, as they were all plain or not great tasting. Along came Golden Chef's flyer in my mailbox and it all changed for the better. Chinese food is my guilty pleasure, and I order it almost on a weekly basis. I have been ordering delivery from Golden Chef for about 3 years now. So much so that their driver will wonder what's going on if I go too long without ordering. (no shame) In any case, they've recently decided to switch to doordash delivery only, and not having their own delivery option. Not only does this remove their free menu options, but the extra cost tacked on the food, and the ridiculous delivery fees they charge increase the costs by over 50%, which is unjustifiable. I will continue to get food here once in a while when I have the time to pick up the food as I enjoy it so much, but it won't be anywhere near as often, and I may just go back to picking stuff up in Chinatown which was excellent, but much less convenient.
