About Gold Marquess Wynwood

Gold Marquess Wynwood is a Chinese restaurant located within the 1-800-LUCKY Asian food hall at 143 NW 23rd St Inside 1-800 Lucky, Miami, FL 33127, USA. You can contact them at (305) 768-9826 or +1 305-768-9826.

Situated inside a popular Asian food hall, Gold Marquess Wynwood often experiences long lines, which some customers attribute to the tasty and freshly prepared food. The restaurant features an open kitchen, providing an interactive experience where diners can watch their meals being made.

One highly praised dish is their fried calamari, described as perfectly crispy and seasoned, requiring no additional sauces. The crispy chicken is also a popular choice, featuring large portions of crispy yet tender fried chicken coated in various sauces such as General Tso, Orange, and Spicy Sesame, each noted for its unique and well-executed flavor.

The prices at Gold Marquess Wynwood are considered quite high, which is typical for restaurants in the Wynwood area and consistent with the pricing at other establishments within the 1-800 Lucky food hall.

A potential challenge, especially during peak meal hours, is finding available tables within the food hall. It is advisable to secure seating as soon as an opening is spotted.

However, not all customer experiences have been positive. One recent review described the Singapore chow mai fun as bland and lacking flavor, tasting primarily of curry powder and requiring significant amounts of soy sauce to become palatable. The chicken in this dish was also reported to be very dry. This negative experience led the customer to consider it the worst Asian food they had ever had, especially considering the added auto gratuity, making it a costly and unsatisfactory meal.

Local users considering Gold Marquess Wynwood should be aware of the generally higher price point and the potential difficulty in finding seating during busy times. While some customers rave about the fresh and flavorful dishes like the fried calamari and crispy chicken, recent feedback indicates a possibility of inconsistent food quality, particularly concerning the flavor and preparation of certain noodle dishes.

This restaurant is situated inside the 1-800-LUCKY Asian food hall. It has the longest lines and for good reason - the food is really tasty and made fresh. The open kitchen provides an interactive experience where you can see your dishes being made. Their fried calamari is perfectly crispy and seasoned and doesn’t require any sauces or anything to eat. The crispy chicken is just that - big bowls of crispy yet tender fried chicken covered in whatever sauces you choose. We did 3 different sauces: General Tso, Orange, and Spicy Sesame. Each had a unique flavor that was delicious and well executed. The prices are quite high, but this is what you would expect to pay in this area. The prices are also similar to prices at all other restaurants in the food hall. At peak meal hours, finding tables is tough, so be sure to grab one as soon as you see an opening.

Probably the worst Asian food I’ve ever had. The Singapore chow mai fun was so bland with no flavor. Only the straight taste of curry powder. Had to add 3 packets of soy sauce for an edible bite. Chicken was very dry. One bite left me with a dry mouth. Not well made at all. On top of auto gratuity added, this was the worst $25 I have ever spent.

Subpar food. My friend and I had both the Pecking Duck Bao & the Char Sui Bao which were both okay and basically tasted the same. We then went for a noodle bowl with a shrimp mix and I still can't figure out how something so saucy could taste so bland... a case for Untold Mysteries. It just didn't hit the way it looked like it would. Loved the lemonade!

Stopped by Gold Marquess inside 1-800 Lucky for lunch. First time there. It was pretty good. Their Katzu Curry Chicken was one of the best curry dishes I’ve had. The chicken was fried perfectly and it wasn’t dry at all. If you stop by 1-800 Lucky, check them out and try the Katzu Curry Chicken.

I recently dined at Gold Marquees and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food. Their diverse selection of Chinese and Asian dishes was exceptional. The ambiance was unique, combining a food court atmosphere with a club/bar vibe. It's inside 1-800 Lucky, and we got real lucky thanks to the complimentary lemonade we received through Yelp which btw was sooo delicious. It's open until midnight, the restaurant provides a fun and memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this place and will be returning 100%
