Customer reviews consistently praise the high quality of food and the overall dining experience at Gold Chopsticks. One reviewer, initially surprised by the arrival of their meal, noted the "lovely smells and tastes" and commended the staff for being "very attuned to the atmosphere." This reviewer did mention that the food seemed "pretty oily" and advised caution for those sensitive to oily dishes. Despite this, they enjoyed the experience and expressed a desire to return to sample other savory items on the menu.

A subsequent visit by the same reviewer on September 30, 2024, reaffirmed their initial positive impression. They reported that the food still tasted "as great as before" and specifically highlighted the honey walnut prawn and General Tsou's chicken. The reviewer was particularly impressed by the "surprisingly different" honey walnut prawns, noting the "interesting addition of sesame seeds" and proclaiming it the "best honey walnut prawn I've had" due to the incredible taste.

Another highly detailed review recounts a deliberate journey from Dublin, California, to Pleasanton, driven by the lack of a satisfactory Chinese restaurant in their locality (Stockton). This reviewer described discovering Gold Chopsticks as a "true culinary revelation" that surpassed expectations. While acknowledging that the prices are "on the higher side," they justified this by the demographics of the location and emphasized that the investment of around a hundred dollars for four dishes was worthwhile due to the "substantial" and "incredibly delectable" portions, with flavors that testified to the "care and skill invested in the culinary artistry."

Beyond the exceptional food, this reviewer lauded the "outstanding service," specifically mentioning Maggie, their host, who ensured an "impeccable" dining experience. The attention to detail, such as ensuring the food arrived "piping hot, delicious, and ready," underscored a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

The reviewer then provided specific praise for several dishes. The Mongolian lamb was described as a "symphony of flavors" with a delightful combination of tender meat and robust spices. The Lover's Promise was said to live up to its name, offering a "divine experience" that tantalized the taste buds. The salt pepper fish was hailed as an "unbelievable culinary adventure," further enhanced by a "homemade chili sauce" that allowed for personalized spice levels.

Concluding their review, the customer stated that Gold Chopsticks transcends a conventional rating scale, venturing into the "realm of extraordinary." They recommended it not just as a restaurant but as an "experience" deserving of a permanent place for seamless and delightful orders, urging others to "prepare for a genuine surprise with each visit to this culinary haven."

I was pleasantly surprised when the food came to our table. The smells and tastes were lovely and the staff seemed very attuned to the atmosphere. Do take note if you have something against oily foods, it seemed pretty oily. Other than that, I like the experience, would come again to try some other savory sounding foods in the menu. 9/30/24: Came back to this place a second time. The food still tasted as great as before. This time I ordered the honey walnut prawn and general tsou's chicken. The honey walnut prawns were surprisingly different with interesting addition of sesame seeds. I couldn't believe the taste afterwards. Best honey walnut prawn I've had

Discovering Golden Chopstick in Dublin, California, was a true culinary revelation. The absence of a noteworthy Chinese restaurant in Stockton led me to venture all the way to Dublin, and it defined an experience beyond expectations. While it's undeniable that the prices lean towards the higher side, this is justified by the demographics of the location. Investing around a hundred bucks for four dishes might seem steep, but the portions are not only substantial but also incredibly delectable. The flavors are a testament to the care and skill invested in the culinary artistry. What truly sets Golden Chopstick apart is not just the food but the outstanding service. Maggie, our gracious host, ensured every aspect of our dining experience was impeccable. The attention to detail in making sure the food arrived piping hot, delicious, and ready was a testament to the commitment to customer satisfaction. Now, let's delve into the gastronomic journey itself. The Mongolian lamb was a symphony of flavors, each bite offering a delightful combination of tender meat and robust spices. The Lover's Promise lived up to its name, providing a divine experience that tantalized the taste buds. The salt pepper fish was an unbelievable culinary adventure, elevated further by the addition of a homemade chili sauce that allowed for a personalized spice level. When I come across something that defies a conventional rating scale of 1 to 10, and ventures into the realm of extraordinary, Golden Chopstick undoubtedly falls into that category. This is not just a restaurant; it's an experience that deserves a permanent place in your phonebook, contacts, or even a business card for seamless and delightful orders. Prepare for a genuine surprise with each visit to this culinary haven.

I've been going to Gold chopsticks for over 25 years. They are always friendly as say hello when you walk in and the food is always amazing. I take friends in here often and they always are happy that I showed them. One of the best Chinese restaurants in Pleasanton!

Food here is excellent. We have done both dine in and take out many many times. Taste, quality and quantity always consistent. Fresh ingredients and very good spice levels. No matter how busy they are, always welcomed with a smile.

Service was quick and the overall vibe was good. The restroom wasn't great. Wish they maintained the cleanliness of the bathroom. May be it’s a one off situation. However the food quality and taste made up for that not so good experience overall.
