About Gogi Street (Korean Fusion)

Gogi Street (Korean Fusion), located at 12820 Jones Maltsberger Rd #104 in San Antonio, Texas, presents a unique dining experience by offering Korean fusion cuisine, primarily served in bowls. While categorized as a Chinese Restaurant platform, Gogi Street provides a distinct menu that blends Korean flavors with other culinary influences.

Environment: Based on a customer visit around 2:30 PM on a Saturday, the restaurant had a few empty tables, suggesting it can get busy. One review noted that while the overall cleanliness seemed acceptable, several tables had not been cleaned upon their arrival.

Services: The restaurant appears to offer dine-in service, and likely takeout given the bowl format which is convenient for takeaway. One customer reported that the food was served quickly after ordering.

Features: Gogi Street's main feature is its Korean fusion concept, with popular items like the Spicy Alamo bowl. This particular bowl was noted for containing a generous amount of avocado and meat. While one customer found the overall taste to be really good and didn't find the bowls overly saucy, they did experience the beef as being overcooked and chewy with some fatty and tough pieces. The chicken, however, was reported to be well-cooked, and the portion sizes were considered good. Another customer found everything they ordered to be delicious and expressed intent to return to try more items.

Potential Considerations: Some customers have experienced inconsistencies in food preparation, specifically with the beef being overcooked and chewy. Cleanliness of tables upon seating might also be an area for attention. However, the generally positive feedback on taste and quick service suggests a potentially satisfying dining experience.

For local users in San Antonio seeking a departure from traditional Chinese cuisine and interested in exploring Korean fusion flavors served in a convenient bowl format, Gogi Street (Korean Fusion) offers an intriguing option. Consider trying their Spicy Alamo bowl or other menu items, keeping in mind the varied experiences reported by other diners.

Went on Saturday afternoon around 230p. Few empty tables. Food came out quickly and everything I had tasted delicious. Some may say the bowls may be too saucy but i didnt seem to find it overly sauced with the mayo or anything. Would definitely come back to try other things.

The food tasted really good. I got the Spicy Alamo bowl. It came with plenty of avocado and meat. However, the beef was a little overcooked and kind of chewy. There was also a lot of fat and tough bits I ended up spitting out. The chicken was well cooked. The portion size was pretty good. I ended up not finishing the rice, but I have been putting in a conscious effort to eat less lately. While it seemed overall clean, most of the tables had clearly not been cleaned when we sat down. I would recommend try it, but overall I was a little underwhelmed.

The food is phenomenal, the chicken was exceptionally cooked. The service and staff are so nice. Not to mention you get like 5 lb of food for like 20 bucks. This is a place that's hard to beat. My family and I go here about once a month and we absolutely love it.

Gogi Street is quite possibly my favorite restaurant in San Antonio. It offers incredible value for a meal out compared to most other restaurants. The portions are Texas-sized and can often last 2-3 meals from one order! The food is essentially San Antonio's take on Korean Street food and it is an amazing fusion of flavors. I especially love the Spicy San Antonio bowl. While the food is awesome, I will say that I prefer to takeout because the atmosphere is not the best. Also, every single time I have eaten in the restaurant, the water has a rubbery taste to it so I prefer bringing my own water or ordering a drink.
