About Girl Diver

Girl Diver, located at 955 Memorial Dr SE ste 510, Atlanta, GA 30316, USA, is presented as a Chinese Restaurant that also functions as a bar. They can be contacted at (404) 525-2424 or +1 404-525-2424.

Based on recent customer reviews, the experiences at Girl Diver are mixed. One customer reported significant issues with food quality, describing their Tom Kai Gai soup as mostly broth and overly salty, and their dim sum as lukewarm. They also mentioned a noodle dish being clumped together. This review also highlighted concerns about customer service, including a lack of notification about unavailable items and issues with adjusting a tip, as well as the cleanliness of the empty restaurant and untrained staff.

In contrast, other customers have had positive experiences. One reviewer who visited late on a Sunday evening enjoyed off-menu drinks made by a staff member named Walter, recommending others to seek him out. They also praised the garlic cheese buns, smash sliders, and drunken noodles as delicious. The garlic cheese buns were specifically recommended by their server and described as a Hawaiian roll with melted cheese, garlic, and a creamy filling.

Another customer stated they had been to Girl Diver twice and had not been disappointed, suggesting that negative reviews might indicate a hit-or-miss experience and encouraging others to try it.

In summary, Girl Diver operates as a Chinese Restaurant with bar service, offering a menu that includes both traditional and fusion-style dishes, along with specialty cocktails. While some customers have reported issues with food quality and service, others have praised the delicious food and drinks, as well as the helpfulness of specific staff members. Don’t take my word for it, read other reviews! Food quality and value: My Tom Kai Gai soup was all broth, no vegetables and extremely salty, inedible.$9 for three dim sum , see picture, and the food was lukewarm warm. The noodle dish is one big clump. Customer service: They didn’t have items and didn’t bother to notify me at all, but yet had the audacity to ask me why I wanted to adjust my tip. The restaurant looked nice in the inside, but was empty and tables still had their checks sitting there (not cleaning the place). The staff is not trained to communicate with customers. I was never given a receipt for the refund in tip. No chance I recommend or come back here

Some of the low reviews confused me but maybe it’s hit or miss. It was a hit for us. Came here late on a Sunday evening and were pretty much the only people here. We ordered off menu drinks that were delicious made specially by Walter - find him if you come here! He made our experience great! For food we weren’t starving, so we got the garlic cheese buns, smash sliders, and drunken noodles - all were delicious! The garlic cheese buns were recommended by our server and had a pleasant creamy cheesiness to them. It was a Hawaiian roll with melted cheese, garlic and some sort of creamy something inside. Been here twice and have not been disappointed, so don’t let some of the lower reviews scare you too bad - give it a shot! We’ll be back!

Summary: This is not the place to go for good food or service. 26 Thai or Spoon are much better options. The silver lining? The drinks are strong. The servers seemed well intentioned but completely missed the mark not sure why the service and food were so bad…. Oh wait, by the end of the night they were getting drunk at the other end of the bar and not paying attention to their remaining customers! From start to finish this was a mess. 1. After being seated we had to flag down a server to ask if someone would check in on our table. It seems like they’d completely forgotten in the the middle of the restaurant. 2. Then we had to request an additional silverware and plate setting for a guest no one was paying attention to. 3. We were not informed of substantial changes to menu items that are typically allergen free. 4. Food was a step above the most generic Thai food you can find but 3x the price ( check out the photo of their adapted gluten free noodles with extra veggies compared to the version they served. Not only do neither taste nor look like drunken noodles but apparently that have an interesting definition of extra veggies too) 5. When we were ready to leave we waited for at least 20 minutes for the check only to find the staff was getting drunk at the other end of the bar. 6. Military discounts only apply to the singular plate that the service member ate

A bit disappointed with the wigs. They suggested this menu item and i would rate 5/10.. cool spot to relax , chill and have a drink or 2. But the wings may need to be revisited. Enjoy

The drink was great—really tasty but a bit strong. The food, though, was just okay. For an Asian fusion spot, it didn’t really impress me. The spring rolls were decent, but nothing special—no unique sauce or anything. The beef dish was fine too, but it tasted pretty standard.
