According to some long-time patrons, Gim Ling Restaurant was once considered an amazing and lifelong staple in the area. However, recent reviews indicate a decline in food quality over the past few years. One customer mentioned that they had stopped eating there due to this perceived downturn but decided to try it again recently.

Feedback from recent experiences suggests concerns about the quality of ingredients and the flavor of the food. Some customers have described the food as bad and not worth the price, even considering it affordable. Specific issues raised include chicken tasting old and possibly undercooked, egg drop soup being mediocre, and crackers described as weird. The sweet and sour sauce was also criticized for its unpleasant taste, dominated by green pepper, and the rice was noted as being very dry.

On a more positive note, one customer praised the owner as a great and professional cook, who is also kind and provides cookies to children. They also mentioned that the dinner prepared was very fresh on their visits.

Overall, recent customer experiences at Gim Ling Restaurant appear to be mixed, with significant concerns raised about the current food quality. Potential customers are advised to consider these recent reviews when making their dining decisions.

Awesome food here! The woman that owns this place is a great cook and she’s very professional. She’s kind to my kid and she gives her cookies!!! Very fresh dinner prepared each time I’ve been here.

This place used to be amazing. A lifelong staple up until the last few years. Went a long time without eating because it went downhill, but decided to try it again today. The quality of ingredients is obviously subpar, and the cook and flavor of the food is bad. They charge a little more than some other places, but wouldn’t pay highly affordable pricing for this. Chicken tasted old and frankly under cooked. Egg drop soup was meh, crackers were weird. Sweet and sour sauce tasted pretty bad and flavor was dominated by green pepper. Rice was very dry. Unfortunately, our families comments after dinner was “well it’s been awhile, and now we know.”

My first time ordering and I was not dissapointed. I only gave 4 stars because not long ago I tried the same exact thing at another Chinese restaurant and it was tad bit better. Price was a little higher than most but the Veggie Lo Mein was good. Restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. They no longer have dine in service but the seating area was cozy and had traditional type Asian decor which I found nice. The person who took my order over the phone and checked me out was also very kind. Ill go back.

They have true well cooked authentic Chinese cuisine. Unfortunately it's carry out only with the inside of the restaurant is beautiful. Call first because everyone and Joe's cousin goes here for carry out. Once you order one for you'll be back.

$14 for a bowl full of onions ordered the Mongolian beef had five pieces of very small meat and made a call to this restaurant to explain my situation and she said we only put very little beat because it’s high-quality. I also got the almond chicken which was soggy And the egg wrap soup is terrible. I just marked this restaurant off my go to place steer clear of this establishment.
