About Genghis Khan Mongolian Bar B Q

Genghis Khan Mongolian Bar B Q is located at 862 N Military Hwy, Norfolk, VA 23502, USA. They can be contacted at (757) 459-2400 or +1 757-459-2400.

Customer reviews suggest that Genghis Khan Mongolian Bar B Q offers a generally positive dining experience. One reviewer described it as a "terrific place," and another enthusiastically recommended it. The service is noted to be "prompt and friendly."

A key feature of this restaurant is the Mongolian BBQ style, where customers can select their own combination of vegetables and proteins to be stir-fried. The selection includes thick noodles, green and white onion, green pepper, bean sprouts, celery, and broccoli for vegetables, and pork, chicken thigh and breast, and beef as protein options. Many sauces are available to flavor the food.

While the food is generally considered good, some customers have found it to be a "tad salty," even for those with a salty palate. This was also noted for the egg drop soup, which is offered as a starter and comes with sesame bread.

One reviewer felt that the variety of ingredients could be improved, suggesting the addition of thin noodles, shrimp, water chestnut, baby corn, bamboo shoots, and carrots to enhance the selection.

Based on customer reviews, Genghis Khan Mongolian Bar B Q in Norfolk provides a customizable stir-fry experience with a good selection of basic vegetables and proteins, along with various sauces. The service is typically prompt and friendly. However, some diners have found the food to be on the saltier side, and there is a desire for a broader range of ingredient options.

No specific information regarding the restaurant's environment beyond it being a place to eat, or any promotional offers, is available in the provided text.

Terrific place. Everything was a tad salty despite me having a salty palate. Otherwise, good was great. Egg drop soup to start (also salty), with some sesame bread. Good selection of veggies and proteins. Service was prompt and friendly. You should go here. You want to go here.

An okay place to eat; they don't offer much choices: they have the thick noodles, green and white onion, green pepper, bean sprouts, celery, and broccoli. Protein is Pork, Chicken thigh and breast, and Beef. They do offer many sauces to flavor the food. However, it would be better if they offered a bit more variety, like, thin noodles, shrimp, water chestnut, baby corn, bamboo shoots, and carrots.

I've been a long-time customer, the food is always wonderful and the service has been awesome. You can not beat the price for what you get.

Always liked this home town location. Been here for decades. Like 35 yrs. It's uniqueness and self serve type hibachi is probably what helped it last so long. As well as the professional stir fry cooks skill of perfectly done food.

There is no place like this! We've been going there for over 30 years. The staff remembers when my girlfriend (now wife) and I went there back in the 80s. The food is delicious! We drive 2-3 hours to get there from Charlottesville a few times a year. It's always worth the trip. Is they were closer I'd eat they every week. Personally, I avoid the hot sauce and double up on the oyster and Mongolian sauces. Visit here, you won't be disappointed.
