About Gaga Seafood Restaurant

Gaga Seafood Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 25 Tyler St #1905 in Boston. They can be contacted at (617) 338-8770 or +1 617-338-8770.

Based on customer reviews, Gaga Seafood Restaurant offers some dishes that are worth trying, particularly their variety of rice plates and crispy chicken. They also offer dim sum.

However, the restaurant's ambiance is noted as not being great, with a cheap feel, noisy diners, and crammed seating. The service is described as fast and efficient, typical of some Chinese restaurants, but not particularly attentive or focused on explaining the menu, with a possible preference for local clientele.

While seafood is offered, one review suggests it might be overpriced. The restaurant does have a special for two lobsters at a certain price, but these lobsters are noted to be small. Aside from the beef chow fen, other dishes like the satay beef and steamed giant clam received negative feedback regarding their preparation and value. The satay beef was described as unusual with the addition of clear noodles and insufficient sauce, while the steamed giant clam presentation was perceived as misleading in terms of the actual amount of clam meat.

Given the mixed reviews regarding the dining environment and service, and the concerns about seafood pricing and certain dishes, customers might find Gaga Seafood Restaurant more suitable for takeaway, particularly for their rice options, crispy chicken, and dim sum. The lobster special might be worth considering for budget-conscious diners who don't mind smaller portions.

Worth a try to have different rice plates and crispy chicken. Not a great place with nice ambience however, the food we tried filled the gap. Food portion was good enough for to for a single menu item. Service was not that great as we would prefer some one to talk a bit and explain the menu and serve happily however, it seemed they prefer more of local clientelle. Seafood is definitely overpriced. Would recommend to try this restaurant for takeaway (choice of rices, crispy chicken and dim sums).

I came here for lobsters because they have a special for 2 lobsters for $46 but tbh other than beef chow fen I can't recommend anything else. The lobsters are small but given the price I will let it slide. The satay beef is super weird. They give large portions but they also added clear noodle which is super weird and not very delicious with not enough satay sauce. The steamed giant clam is priced $7 a piece but they basically spread 1.5 clams with a lot of clear noodle to make it look like 3 giant clams with 3 shells so if you do the math they are not as cheap as they make them out to be. I'd rather they charge full price like $10 but gives you the actual full amount. I know this because I cook at home and then I know how much meat is in 1 clam. As for lobster I have a feeling they just cook a bunch and give you pieces with 2 heads but they are alright. The best is beef chow fen which is surprisingly good. This is a cheap restaurant so ambience sucks with noisy diners and crammed seating. Don't take your date unless you've been together for a long time. Service is typical Chinese service fast and efficient but not attentive.

A typical Chinese restaurant at Chinatown. Food is served quickly and smells good. We had the salt and pepper lobster and it’s nice. Did really enjoy the chicken but the pickled radish in it is nice.

Incredible stir fried ginger scallion lobster (5/5). Moist, juicy, umami packed, and absolutely delicious lobster that is very fresh. Excellent deal for only $40. Highly recommend.

Great food! Very authentic. Yet service can be improved and seating is a bit uncomfortable given how crowded the space is
