About Fuxing Spring 福興泉

Welcome to Fuxing Spring 福興泉, a Cantonese-Chinese restaurant located in Monterey Park, California. Situated off of Garvey Avenue near Atlantic Boulevard at 715 W Garvey Ave, Monterey Park, CA 91754, USA, Fuxing Spring presents itself as a versatile establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, catering to both individual diners and large groups. Based on initial customer feedback, this newer restaurant offers a range of Cantonese culinary experiences, from convenient lunch specials to elaborate banquet-style menus.

As a Cantonese-Chinese banquet-style restaurant, Fuxing Spring appears equipped to host larger gatherings, as indicated by the mention of 10-course menus specifically designed for groups of ten people. This feature suggests that the restaurant has the capacity and infrastructure to accommodate banquets, celebrations, and other large events. For local users seeking a venue for such occasions, Fuxing Spring could be a viable option, offering traditional Cantonese cuisine in a setting suitable for group dining.

For those looking for a more casual dining experience, Fuxing Spring also offers lunch specials. According to one reviewer who sampled three items from the lunch special – braised beef, fried tofu, and whole fish – the food was generally good, albeit described as "pretty average." The fact that this customer enjoyed all three dishes suggests a consistent level of quality across different offerings within their lunch menu. This makes Fuxing Spring a potential choice for a satisfying weekday lunch.

A notable service provided during lunchtime at Fuxing Spring is the complimentary soup served to the table. This thoughtful gesture adds value to the dining experience and is a common practice in many Chinese restaurants, enhancing the meal with a warm and comforting start. This indicates a focus on customer satisfaction and providing a complete dining experience, even during their busy lunch service.

Further positive feedback highlights the tastiness of specific dishes beyond the lunch specials. The beef roll and beef chow fun were both described as "very nice," suggesting that Fuxing Spring excels in preparing these classic Cantonese dishes. The availability of Hong Kong-style coffee, in addition to tea, is another feature that caters to a broader range of preferences, offering a familiar and comforting beverage option for those accustomed to Hong Kong-style cafes.

One particularly interesting observation from a reviewer pertains to the pricing at the time of their visit. They noted that the prices were "particularly decent right now," suggesting that there might be some promotional pricing in effect, making it an opportune time for local users to try the restaurant. This price point, coupled with the tasty food, could be a significant draw for new customers looking for good value.

The same reviewer also provided an insight into the restaurant's popularity, particularly around the opening of the lunch hour. They recounted a significant influx of customers, predominantly elderly individuals, arriving around 11:00 AM, leading to the restaurant becoming packed within an hour. This observation suggests that Fuxing Spring has already garnered a loyal customer base, possibly attracted by a combination of food quality, pricing, and perhaps the overall dining experience. The reviewer speculated whether the crowd was due to the prices or the food, leaning towards the former being a significant factor at that time.

In terms of the environment, while specific details about the décor and ambiance are not extensively described, the fact that it is referred to as a "banquet style restaurant" suggests a spacious setting capable of accommodating large numbers of diners. The busy weekday lunch service also implies a bustling and lively atmosphere, which is typical of popular Chinese restaurants, especially during peak hours. The influx of a large crowd shortly after opening indicates that it is a well-known and frequented spot in the area.

Based on the available information, the services offered at Fuxing Spring include both a la carte dining through their lunch specials and potentially a broader dinner menu, as well as banquet services for larger groups. The complimentary soup during lunch is a notable addition to their service. The presence of both phone and mobile phone numbers ((626) 782-7088 and +1 626-782-7088) indicates accessibility for reservations and inquiries.

In summary, Fuxing Spring 福興泉 appears to be a Cantonese-Chinese restaurant in Monterey Park that offers a dual appeal: convenient and tasty lunch options alongside the capacity for hosting large banquets. Features include a variety of Cantonese dishes, complimentary soup during lunch, Hong Kong-style coffee, and potentially attractive pricing at certain times. The restaurant seems to be quite popular, particularly during the weekday lunch rush. Local users looking for a Cantonese meal, whether for a quick lunch or a large gathering, might find Fuxing Spring to be a worthwhile option to explore, especially given the positive feedback on dishes like the beef roll and beef chow fun, and the potential for good value.

This is a newer Cantonese-Chinese banquet style restaurant off of Garvey/Atlantic. They have lunch specials as well as 10-course menus for groups of ten people. The food was good. I think it's pretty average. I liked all three items I ordered from the lunch special: braised beef, fried tofu, and whole fish. When I visited on a weekday lunch, they were so busy. During lunch, they serve complimentary soup for the table.

Food pretty tasty. Had the beef roll and beef chow fun. Very nice. They have HK style coffee as well as tea. Prices are particularly decent right now so it seems like this is the time to try it. We showed up at just before eleven and at eleven it was like a Vegas bus showed up -- battalions of elderly people in leisure wear came in and within an hour it was packed. Hard to tell if it's the prices or the food... I suspect it's the former.

My girlfriend and I went here for lunch, the restaurant had several full tables of dinners around 11:00 a.m., but there were some available tables for us to dine in. There is an extensive menu to choose from, and there also is a menu of lunch specials. The waitresses were very helpful, the restaurant facility has had a renovation, it must be new owners, and judging by the signage, it has recently opened. The food was delicious, there is a free soup as an appetizer, and we enjoyed eating the dishes here.

First time trying for lunch. Mediocre HK style food. The beef chow fun was ok, a little bland but not overly oily. Ratio of noodle, beef and bean sprouts was good. The congee was standard but the meat in the congee was very flavorful, seems like a lot of msg. The milk tea and beef rice roll was almost inedible. We did not try the lunch specials.
