About Fung's Kitchen
Welcome to Fung's Kitchen, a highly-regarded Chinese restaurant located at 3231 N Classen Blvd in Oklahoma City, OK 73118. As a prominent member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Fung's Kitchen has garnered significant praise from local users for its outstanding food quality and exceptional service. If you're seeking a memorable Chinese dining experience in Oklahoma City, Fung's Kitchen appears to be a top contender based on customer testimonials.
One enthusiastic reviewer emphatically states, "I cannot recommend this place enough!" This strong endorsement is further supported by their description of the food as "amazing" and the service as "out of this world amazing!" This level of praise suggests that Fung's Kitchen excels in both the culinary and hospitality aspects of the dining experience. The reviewer specifically highlights the practice of ordering family style, which allows diners to sample a wider variety of dishes, indicating that Fung's Kitchen is well-suited for group dining and sharing.
The review also provides a list of several highly recommended dishes, offering valuable insights into the restaurant's specialties. These top favorites include the classic Orange Chicken, the popular Beef and Broccoli, flavorful Green Beans in Black Bean Sauce, the traditional Peking Duck, the satisfying Vegetable Lo Mein, and the enticing Triple Delight Seafood Platter. This diverse selection suggests that Fung's Kitchen offers a broad menu catering to various tastes and preferences within Chinese cuisine, with both familiar favorites and perhaps some more unique offerings.
The exceptional service at Fung's Kitchen is repeatedly emphasized. The reviewer explicitly mentions the service being "incredible," reinforcing the notion that the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a positive dining experience for their patrons. This focus on customer care can significantly enhance the overall enjoyment of a meal, making diners feel welcome and well-attended to.
While the overwhelmingly positive feedback on food and service is a major draw, one reviewer does provide a practical note regarding parking. They mention that parking can be "a little bit limited and can be tricky on busy nights," but also point out the availability of some street parking nearby. This is valuable information for potential diners, especially those planning to visit during peak hours, suggesting they should be prepared for potential parking challenges and consider alternative options if necessary.
Another customer shares their tradition of visiting Fung's Kitchen almost every Christmas, expressing appreciation for the restaurant being open on holidays. This indicates that Fung's Kitchen is a reliable choice even during special occasions. This reviewer also praised the food quality, echoing the sentiment of the first review. However, they did note a longer wait time for their order due to the restaurant being busy, which is understandable during peak holiday periods. Importantly, they mention that the staff apologized for the wait, demonstrating good customer service even when faced with high volumes.
This second review also brings up a point about a potential issue with the bill. The reviewer suspects a possible typo or a miswritten handwritten bill, as the total presented was significantly higher than their calculation based on the individual dishes ordered. They commendably checked their bill and identified the discrepancy, receiving the correct amount. This serves as a reminder for all diners to review their bills carefully, regardless of the establishment. However, the fact that the reviewer still expresses appreciation for the restaurant and their food, particularly the "bomb" wonton soup and the "best" Vietnamese hot coffee they've had in years, speaks to the overall positive impression of Fung's Kitchen despite this billing hiccup.
The mention of "Vietnamese hot coffee" is particularly interesting as it suggests that Fung's Kitchen might offer some Vietnamese specialties in addition to its Chinese cuisine, further broadening its appeal and potentially offering a unique culinary fusion or a wider range of beverage options. This could be a distinctive feature that sets it apart from other Chinese restaurants in the area.
Based on the two detailed customer reviews, Fung's Kitchen appears to offer a warm and welcoming environment where the quality of food and service are paramount. The emphasis on family-style dining suggests that the restaurant is designed to accommodate groups and foster a communal eating experience. While specific details about the restaurant's decor or ambiance are not explicitly mentioned, the positive tone of the reviews implies a comfortable and enjoyable setting.
Regarding specific features, the consistent praise for particular dishes like the Orange Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, Peking Duck, and the Wonton Soup suggests that these might be signature items or at least consistently well-prepared favorites. The potential inclusion of Vietnamese hot coffee hints at a broader culinary offering that could be a unique draw for those seeking both Chinese and Vietnamese flavors.

In conclusion, Fung's Kitchen at 3231 N Classen Blvd in Oklahoma City stands out as a highly recommended Chinese restaurant. Its consistently praised "amazing" food, "out of this world amazing" service, and popular dishes like Orange Chicken, Peking Duck, and Wonton Soup make it a compelling choice for local users. The option for family-style dining further enhances its appeal for groups. While parking might present a minor challenge during busy times, and diners are advised to check their bills, the overall positive experiences shared by customers underscore Fung's Kitchen's commitment to providing a delightful and satisfying Chinese dining experience in Oklahoma City. I cannot recommend this place enough! The food is amazing and the service is out of this world amazing! We always eat family style so we can have more of everything. Just a few of my top favorites: orange chicken, beef and broccoli, green beans in black bean sauce, peking duck, vegetable lo mein, triple delight seafood platter. The service is incredible! (Note: Parking is a little bit limited and can be tricky on busy nights. Some street parking is available nearby)
We come here almost every Christmas. I’m appreciative they open on holidays. Food was great. The wait (after placing an order) was a tad long due to it being busy (almost an hour), but they apologized for the wait. I’m not sure if they made a typo when they were adding the orders up on the check or just mis-wrote on the bill (handwritten), but our bill was incorrect (they had the total as $289 when it was actually $218). This would be a big error for customers that don’t check the bill, but we punched in the dishes total on our phone to retrieve the correct amount. The wonton soup is always bomb! The vietnamese hot coffee was the best I’ve tried in several, several years!
Walked in expecting to try some dim sum only to find out it had been discontinued because it was too much work for them. Feeling a little awkward we decided to try it out. The place is nice and cozy inside. A lot better than expected based on the outside appearance. Small place but nicely organized. I would say the windows need some type of curtain because the sun hit our table and eyes pretty bad and there was nothing to cover it. Our server was pretty friendly and attentive. He helped explain the menu and even brought us the traditional menu with more authentic recipes. We tried their roasted duck and pork belly. Both were delicious. We ordered pan fried noddles with beef and the salt pepper octopus. Both lacked much flavor. The squid was fried but soggy and not crispy at all. The noodles were tasted straight out of an old bag. It was pretty dissapointed after the first two plates. Also, to the couple that was there in their first date being extremely loud, not mindful, not demure, thanks for making our lunch uncomfortable and unpleasant.
They didn't have dim sum anymore. But I just wanted to feel a piece of home and this was a great place to do it at. Food was great and good flavor.
I thought this restaurant was just ok. The way the food is prepared reminds me of a fast food Chinese restaurant when I order and pick up. The only difference between this establishment and a fast food Chinese restaurant is the price of the entrees, it is kind of expensive. The egg drop soup was served with dry noodles and saltine Crackers, I prefer the fried wonton chips. We went for lunch and I had B7, chicken chow mein and sweet & sour chicken, and it was just ok. The chicken chow mein had the same dry noodles on top, and the fried rice was bland. We also ordered the sesame chicken, and the broccoli that accompanied the dish had a really bad taste. We also ordered B2, Pepper Steak. My husband said that it was pretty good. The service was wonderful. I just don't think I would want to return because the quality of the food just doesn't justify the price they charge.
