About Fung's Kitchen

Fung's Kitchen is a Chinese Restaurant located at 7320 Southwest Fwy #115, Houston, TX 77074, USA. They can be contacted at (713) 779-2288 or +1 713-779-2288.

Fung's Kitchen is recognized as a spacious dining establishment, making it suitable for family gatherings and special occasions. The restaurant boasts an impressively large dining area.

A highlight of Fung's Kitchen is its seafood, particularly the "Lobster Mountain," a dish featuring six perfectly prepared lobsters with stunning presentation and exceptional flavor, highly recommended for seafood lovers. Another favorite is the steamed garlic sauce king crab legs. The restaurant also offers a "king crab feast" option on their menu.

In addition to seafood, Fung's Kitchen offers a phenomenal selection of dim sum. Customers have praised the freshness, flavor, and perfect cooking of various dim sum items, including shrimp dumplings and pork buns. The variety available on the dim sum carts is extensive, catering to different preferences.

Service at Fung's Kitchen appears to be generally attentive and friendly, ensuring a smooth dining experience for many. However, some customers have reported inconsistent service, with one instance of a server insistently recommending a pricier king crab option over a better-value feast and being inattentive with water refills. This issue was resolved by a more experienced and friendly server who later attended to the table.

The food quality is generally rated as solid, with dishes like Lobster Mountain and steamed garlic sauce king crab legs being favorites. The quail was also surprisingly good despite its appearance, while the soup did not meet expectations, and dessert was missed in one instance. The prices are considered justified by the amount of food received.

A noted downside is the very crowded parking lot, which might present a challenge for diners.

Overall, Fung's Kitchen is recommended for its impressive seafood dishes, extensive and delicious dim sum, and generally attentive service. While there might be occasional inconsistencies in service and parking can be challenging, the quality and quantity of food, especially the Lobster Mountain and dim sum, make it a worthwhile visit for those seeking a Chinese seafood experience in Houston.

We arrived with six people, excited for the king crab feast for our group. We pointed it out on the menu, but somehow the waiter tried to convince us to order just the king crab two ways, which was pricier than the feast option. Thankfully, we caught her before she had the crab cooked. The food was solid, easily a 4 out of 5. Our favorites were the Lobster Mountain and the steamed garlic sauce king crab legs. The quail was surprisingly good, even though it looked a bit dry. The soup didn't quite live up to expectations, and for some reason, we never received our dessert at the end of the meal. Service was inconsistent. The initial server was rather frustrating, repeatedly insisting we wanted the two-way Alaskan king crab instead of the feast. It was clear that we would pay the same amount for much less food. She also hardly refilled our water unless we flagged her down. Fortunately, we eventually had a wonderful older gentleman attend to us, and he was incredibly friendly. I would definitely return, but if I ended up with the same server, I'd think twice. Overall, the prices were justified considering the amount of food we received.

I recently dined at Fung’s Kitchen in Houston, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The restaurant boasts an impressively large dining space, perfect for family gatherings and special occasions. The service was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our meal went smoothly. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly their "Lobster Mountain" dish, which consisted of six perfectly prepared lobsters. The presentation was stunning, and the flavors were out of this world. If you're a seafood lover, this is a must-try! In addition to the Lobster Mountain, the dim sum offerings were phenomenal. Each dish, from the shrimp dumplings to the pork buns, was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The variety available on the dim sum carts is extensive, offering something for everyone. The only downside was the very crowded parking lot

One of the few dim sum place where they still do push carts over the weekend. Bustling, with long wait time (an hour for Sunday lunch). The good thing is - once you get seated, you can start eating as dim sums are coming around through push carts. Food is good. Need to be proactive to get service though. Tips: Some carts, the dessert ones, took forever to arrive as they are always being stopped. You may want to walk around to the carts for faster self-delivery. There is also a center station featuring hot food and dessert in cooler display. Valet is pretty much the only weekend parking option.

Fung’s Kitchen is a popular spot in Houston, known for its Chinese and Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, including dim sum, Peking duck, and seafood. The ambiance is welcoming, and the recent renovations have given it a fresh, modern look. Comments on the food: The crab and corn soup is delicious and of high quality. Additionally, I enjoyed the salted egg yolk fried soft-shell crab, crispy fried quail, and the fresh shrimp dim sum. The staff are attentive and very caring towards the customers. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy authentic Chinese flavors.

Service was very good and quick. We ordered the Peking Duck Rolls, Mongolian Beef, and Orange Chicken. Food was above average, although we did have a small bone in the Duck Rolls.
