About Full House

Full House is a Chinese restaurant situated at 1851 El Camino Real in Burlingame, California, offering what one reviewer describes as "incredible traditional ‘old school’ Americanized Chinese food." This establishment caters to those who appreciate classic, familiar Chinese-American dishes. However, recent customer feedback presents a stark contrast, with serious allegations regarding the restaurant's hygiene standards alongside positive comments about the taste and quality of the food itself. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Full House based on the available reviews, highlighting both the potential positives and significant concerns raised by patrons.

Regarding the environment of Full House, the provided customer reviews do not offer any descriptive details about the restaurant's ambiance, decor, or overall setting. One review focuses entirely on a severe hygiene issue encountered during the dining experience, while the other praises the food without mentioning the physical environment. Therefore, it is not possible to provide an objective introduction to the physical setting of the establishment based solely on the available information. Potential customers will need to form their own impressions of the dining environment should they choose to visit.

In terms of services, the feedback is also mixed. One reviewer who experienced a significant hygiene problem noted that when they brought it to the staff's attention, the response was "indifferent at best." They described a lack of apology or concern for food safety, with only a casual offer to replace the dish. This suggests a potentially concerning attitude towards hygiene issues by the staff. In contrast, the reviewer who enjoyed the food did not comment negatively on the service, implying that standard service may be provided under normal circumstances. However, the severe lack of appropriate response to a hygiene complaint raises serious questions about the overall service standards, particularly concerning food safety and customer care when issues arise.

One of the features of Full House, according to a positive review, is its offering of "incredible traditional ‘old school’ Americanized Chinese food." This suggests that the restaurant specializes in the style of Chinese cuisine that has been popular in America for decades, featuring classic dishes with familiar flavors and presentations. The reviewer specifically noted that there are "lots of the classic choices" available, indicating a comprehensive menu of these well-known dishes. They also praised the food as being "fresh, hot, and tasty," suggesting that when prepared properly, the food can be enjoyable.

Further positive aspects of the food mentioned by this reviewer include generous portions of sauces and chicken that was "moist and delicious." This indicates that Full House may excel in the preparation of certain dishes, providing satisfying and flavorful options for customers who appreciate this style of Chinese-American cuisine. The emphasis on "fresh" and "hot" food also suggests a commitment to serving dishes at an optimal temperature and with a degree of recent preparation.

However, a significant and deeply concerning aspect of the feedback is the serious allegation regarding hygiene standards. One reviewer recounted a disturbing experience of finding "what was clearly a nostril hair embedded in my food." They emphasized that it was not just a stray hair but a thick, coarse, and unmistakable one. This discovery led to an immediate loss of appetite and raised significant concerns about the overall cleanliness and food safety practices within the restaurant's kitchen. The reviewer strongly urged others who value cleanliness and health to "think twice before dining here," indicating a severe lack of confidence in the restaurant's hygiene.

The stark contrast between the positive feedback on the taste and quality of the food by one reviewer and the alarming hygiene issue reported by another presents a complex and potentially risky scenario for prospective diners. While the "old school" Americanized Chinese food might be appealing to some, the serious breach of hygiene reported cannot be ignored and raises fundamental questions about the safety and standards maintained by the establishment.

Currently, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or special features at Full House based on the provided customer reviews. The feedback focuses solely on the food quality and the significant hygiene concern. Therefore, it is not possible to provide an objective introduction to any promotional aspects of this Chinese restaurant. Potential customers would need to inquire directly with the restaurant about any current specials or offers.

In conclusion, Full House in Burlingame offers traditional Americanized Chinese food that has been described as "incredible," "fresh," "hot," and "tasty," with generous portions and flavorful dishes. However, a deeply concerning review highlights absolutely unacceptable hygiene standards, with a customer finding a nostril hair embedded in their food and reporting an indifferent response from the staff. This serious allegation casts a significant shadow over the positive aspects of the food mentioned in the other review. Potential customers must weigh the positive feedback on the food against the severe hygiene concerns raised. The lack of information about the restaurant's environment and any promotional offers further necessitates caution and careful consideration before choosing to dine at Full House. The reported hygiene issue is a critical factor that should not be overlooked by anyone prioritizing cleanliness and food safety.

Absolutely unacceptable hygiene standards. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was beyond disgusting. Halfway through my meal, I found what was clearly a nostril hair embedded in my food. It wasn’t just a stray hair,it was thick, coarse, and unmistakable. I lost my appetite instantly and couldn’t believe something so vile made it onto my plate. When I brought it to the staff’s attention, the response was indifferent at best. No apology, no concern for food safety, just a casual offer to replace the dish,as if that could erase what I saw. If basic hygiene isn't a priority here, I truly worry about what else goes unnoticed in the kitchen. I strongly urge anyone who values cleanliness and health to think twice before dining here.

Incredible traditional “old school” Americanized Chinese food. Lots of the classic choices. Fresh hot and tasty. Generous with the sauces and the chicken was moist and delicious.

Got schechwan beef and a order of rice. Big amount, little flavor. Had almost no spice too. Tasted like nothing. Infant, when I took a bite of beef with rice, all I tasted was rice. Disappointed for 22 dollars

First of all, to anyone reading this, I'm begging you, please try their Chongqing style chicken! It's one of the best Chinese fried chicken dishes you'll ever eat, and it's just insanely good. This restaurant is a hidden gem. They've been around for many years and have always had quality Chinese food, and the amazing thing is that it seems like they've upped their game since I ordered from them the last few times. Their selection is the best it's ever been, and the quality of the food is also better than ever. I'm just so impressed by the pride they take in what they do. This is my go-to spot to order from now whenever I'm in town, and I just wish this restaurant all the success in the world.
