Dim sum is fairly good quality for a great price. They have specials depending on the day of week where all dim sum dishes are a certain price. We were seated quickly and the service was great. The options are fairly standard offering all the traditional dim sum dishes. Our food was served fairly quickly and tasted fairly good. Overall, it was a filling meal for a fair price and good quality dim sum.

Bring cash for their combo specials. Food is well priced. The combo for 2 was more to the bland side (like a bland diet). Not really our cup of tea, but our elders like it. The Sweet Sauce Pork $15 was a big portion.

Full House Chinese Cuisine is a simple authentic restaurant serving Dim Sum and Chinese food. We usually come here for dim sum and haven't really try its dinner options. Anyhow, the interior is simple. Nothing fancy and not high-end about it but it serves good authentic, traditional and no gimmick dim sum at a very good price. The interior is your typical old traditional mama-papa Chinese restaurant. Interior looks dated and table cloth and chairs are dated as well. However, I don't mind as it's nostalgic and I prefer it keep the costs of the dim sum and other dinner dishes down vs renovated it up to fancy and then charge me more $ for each dish. I am here for a good time and not a long time so I can live with dated interior. Good food speaks for itself anyways. Instead of listing small, medium, large or XL size, all dim sum are same price at $4.98 CDN + tax, which is super good price during this inflated food industry in Toronto. If you want some fancier dim sum items such as seafood dumplings with dried scallop broth or steam beef tripe, it's $5.98, which is still better price than many other competitors. Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays, the regular dim sum prices is at $5.28 CDN, which is super reasonable as well. You can also order stir fry items such as yang fried rice, crispy noodles, ho fun, and other soup noodles, ranging from reasonable $8.99 to $13+ CDN. The Har Gao, Siu Mai, the usual suspects are very good, nice & piping steam hot, just the way we like it. The pork bone congee has nice amount of dried fish and peppery flavour in it. I highly recommend you with the seafood dumpling with conpoy (dried scallop) with soup broth. Good amounts of dried scallop, shrimps, pork, normal scallops in the dumpling. Very worth the $5.98 CDN. You surely don't want to share with anyone and eat it yourself, so I recommend you each order one. Tea per person is $2.00 CDN, which is fair. If you are looking for some authentic traditional dim sum, Full House Chinese Cuisine is a great place in Scarborough. Plenty of free parking space at this plaza.

Both for comparison's sake and because I love its soft, tender texture especially when coated in an addicting sweet and savoury sauce and contrasted with the crisp, refreshing bite of the onions. The eel dish is fatty, flaky and packed with flavour thanks to the black bean sauce that's rounded out with a subtle tangerine skin aroma, and is the perfect compliment to rice.

Unfortunately, the food fell short of expectations. While the presentation was appealing, the flavours were notably lacking. Dishes like the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Kung Pao Shrimp seemed to be missing that authentic punch one hopes for in a Chinese restaurant. The sauces were under-seasoned, and overall, the dishes felt bland compared to other establishments in the area. For instance, the Fried Rice was quite generic and lacked the depth and complexity that usually makes this dish stand out. On a positive note, the service was decent. Our server was attentive and polite, ensuring our drinks were filled and checking in on us without being intrusive. While the service level was commendable, it wasn't enough to compensate for the shortcomings in the food. The ambiance of Full House captures a typical old-style Asian cuisine vibe, with decor that feels like a throwback. While some may appreciate the nostalgia, others might find it dated. The lighting was dim, which added a cozy feel, but the overall decor could benefit from a modern refresh to elevate the dining experience. In comparison to other Chinese restaurants I’ve visited, Full House Chinese Cuisine does have its strengths in service, but it fails to deliver on flavour. If you’re seeking a meal with bold tastes, you might want to explore other options nearby. However, if you're after a casual dining experience with decent service, this could be a suitable choice. Overall, Full House Chinese Cuisine has potential, but it needs to spice up its menu to truly stand out in the crowded landscape of Chinese dining in our area. xx kellychan360
