About Fuji buffet

Fuji buffet, situated at 3904 S Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33611, USA (with contact numbers +1 813-832-8818 and (813) 832-8818), is presented as a "Chinese Restaurant" offering a buffet experience with a range of Asian cuisines. For local users in Singapore considering this option, here is an objective overview based on recent customer reviews.

Environment: One reviewer described the atmosphere as "a bit more fun than a typical Asian buffet," while another found the decor "beyond basic" and "slightly dated and dingy." The music was noted by one customer as not fitting the establishment's vibe. Cleanliness was mentioned positively by one reviewer as "super clean," but contradicted by another who found it "not a very clean place."

Services: Fuji buffet operates as a buffet, offering self-service for a variety of dishes. One positive aspect mentioned was that the hot food was served "nice and hot." However, a significant point of concern was raised regarding the Hibachi service. Customers reported that the Hibachi station was often unmanned, and the cooking process involved handing raw ingredients to sushi staff who would then take them to the back to cook, with the finished dish being retrieved by the customer. This setup was described as "awkward and unprofessional."

Features: Fuji buffet offers a selection of hot food items, sushi, and a Hibachi station. One reviewer found the flavors to be "great, but not outstanding," with some dishes lacking "some punch." The buffet reportedly includes snow crab (both hot and cold) and crawfish. However, the quality of some items was questioned, with one customer describing the General Tso's chicken as "lacking in flavor" and the coconut shrimp as "sub par." The butter was also criticized as being a "butter flavored oil." There were conflicting reports regarding the beverage and dessert options, with one review suggesting limited choices for "unlimited Asian drinks" and ice cream served in basic Styrofoam cups, contradicting potential expectations set by online visuals.

Promotional Information (Based on Reviews): While no specific promotions were mentioned, one positive aspect highlighted was that "everything was pretty fresh." However, another reviewer strongly advised lowering expectations, suggesting that the actual offerings might not align with online pictures and videos, particularly regarding the variety of drinks and desserts. The availability of unlimited snow crab and crawfish was noted as a potential draw for some, provided the quality and the butter substitute are not major concerns. The price point was mentioned as being around $22 for dinner, with a suggestion that better buffet options might be available for that price.

In conclusion, for local users in Singapore considering Fuji buffet, it appears to be an Asian buffet offering a variety of dishes including Chinese and Japanese cuisine, with features like Hibachi and seafood. While one customer reported a positive experience with freshness and a fun atmosphere, another detailed concerns about cleanliness, limited selection compared to online visuals, an unprofessional Hibachi setup, and the quality of certain dishes. The value proposition, particularly compared to other buffet options, should be carefully considered. Potential customers might find it worthwhile if their priority is unlimited snow crab or crawfish and they are comfortable with the described environment and service style.

Good experience. Everything was pretty fresh. The place was super clean. Flavors were great, but not outstanding. A few dishes lacked some punch. Everything was nice and hot though. Atmosphere is a bit more fun than a typical Asian buffet. The music didn't really fit the vibe of the establishment. Overall worth the visit and we'll definitely go back.

Do yourself a favor and either lower your expectations or spend your money for a better meal somewhere else. The pictures are almost false advertising. The unlimited Asian drinks that were included as well as the cool looking ice creams are a bust and myth. There are much less options than depicted in those pictures and videos on social media. Maybe when they first opened but not now! The ice creams were literally to the tune of chocolate, vanilla, strawberry or orange sherbert but all of which came in a Styrofoam cup with a pull back lid like a Dixie cup. The Boba drinks were 3 flavors and the bottled Asian drinks had only one flavor choice. The Hibachi had steak, very few pieces of semi-slimy chicken, and some shrimp to choose from and the veggies consisted of zucchini, onions, mushrooms and peppers and there were noodles but that was it. I chose a moderate spice Terriaki soy for my Hibachi and they did a good job with the flavors but it was a very awkward and unprofessional set up. There was no one stationed were the Hibachi area was but to the right was the sushi station and staff coming in and out of the back with rolling carts for clean up and buffet items for replenishment and when I asked one of the employees by the sushi if they do the cooking for the Hibachi they said yes and took my raw items and said it would be a few minutes, but I didn't see where they cook it so I'm assuming they take it in the back and then bring it out once it's ready and ring a bell for you to come and pick it up. I went up to find it and it was off to the side slightly behind the raw station and I had to reach in between to obtain it and it was again, unmanned. The buffet items for the hot food were okay but not great. The selection was surprisingly smaller than the majority and definitely smaller than depicted in pictures and videos that have been featured. They did have snow crab both hot and cold but the flavors were just okay. The butter was more like movie theater popcorn oil but definitely not real butter. It was clearly a butter flavored oil of sorts. The General Tso's chicken was lacking in flavor and the coconut shrimp was sub par at best. It wasn't a very clean place and the decor was beyond basic and felt slightly dated and dingy. They also had crawfish. I'd say unless you're going for unlimited snow crab or crawfish and butter isn't important to you, then this is not worth the drive or price because you can get better buffet items in most Chinese buffets for $22 for dinner. If you know you know, and now, you know...

I feel mislead.... After seeing all the good reviews and pictures I thought we would give it a try. We drove an hour to be extremely disappointed. We walked in at 5:40 pm during the week and there was maybe 3 people in the whole restaurant. It was extremely hot and damp inside making things even worse when it's a buffet. The food was hard and you could tell it was sitting out for a long time. The sushi was warm and what was out was just a few pieces left. All the food had that buffet taste and feel to it where you are not sure if you're going to get sick or not... The cold items where kinda cold but they where looking rough with a lot of liquid pooling. Overall we where thoroughly not impressed for paying $70 plus a tip for terrible food. My son had high hopes after seeing this with good reviews. The service was good as they where always available, however when you ask for something there is a language barrier. This was a no for me.

I'm not a fan of buffets but this place has definitely change my mind. Lunch was great, the food is fresh and delicious with lots of variety dishes. If you like octopus or squid must try the ceveche style salad they have! Will be back again to try for dinner.

Yesterday, I had lunch at Fuji Buffet for the first time. It reminded me of Tampa Buffet, which used to be in the same strip mall (possibly the same location). I requested a booth with an electric outlet so I could charge up my phone. Unfortunately, they led me to one where the outlets were too deep into the wall. I couldn’t plug in my phone. The food selection was good, including a Hibachi grill. The wait for my plate of food seemed to take too long. Most of the ice cream was hard as a brick. I waited for it to soften. The background music sounded like Chinese disco music. Out of curiosity, I used the Shazam app, but it couldn’t identify most of the songs played. Usually, I don’t tip at buffets since I’m dishing my own food. However, I left one partially because they gave me a military discount. I might come here again.
