About FU SHING

Welcome to FU SHING, a Chinese restaurant located at 8134 Mt Holly-Huntersville Rd in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, FU SHING aims to provide a variety of Chinese-American dishes to the community. Situated on Mt Holly-Huntersville Road, it offers an accessible option for those in the area seeking Chinese cuisine for takeout or dine-in, depending on their services.

For those interested in placing an order or making inquiries, FU SHING can be contacted at (704) 394-9882 or via their mobile number, +1 704-394-9882. These contact methods provide convenient ways for customers to get in touch with the restaurant for information about their menu, services, and hours of operation.

Based on recent customer reviews, experiences at FU SHING appear to be quite polarized, with one customer expressing high praise and another reporting significant dissatisfaction. One enthusiastic reviewer stated their opinion that FU SHING is "THEE BEST Chinese spot in the Charlotte!!" They mentioned being originally from the north and finding FU SHING's food to be the closest to what they were accustomed to. This reviewer specifically highlighted the flavorful shrimp fried rice, noting that it is made with yellow rice, which they believe makes a significant positive difference. They also praised the shrimp rolls and mentioned always getting extra duck sauce for both the rice and the rolls. To complete their positive experience, they recommended the "BIG Chinese tea from the fridge with the lemon floating at the top," describing it as a "Chinese restaurant classic" and giving FU SHING an overall rating of 10/10.

In stark contrast, another customer had a very negative experience, giving FU SHING only 2 stars and explicitly stating that they "wouldn’t waste your money" there. This reviewer did commend the woman at the front counter for being "extremely nice," but their dissatisfaction stemmed from the food itself. They ordered cream cheese wontons, which they reported were "HOLLOW," and included a mention of accompanying pictures. They also ordered the lunch special bourbon chicken, which they found to be "so dry!!" This negative experience led them to conclude that it would be their "first and last time for sure" visiting FU SHING.

These contrasting reviews indicate a significant divergence in customer experiences at FU SHING. The positive review highlights flavorful dishes like the shrimp fried rice (with yellow rice) and shrimp rolls, along with a notable beverage, suggesting these might be signature or particularly well-received items. The friendliness of the front counter staff was also mentioned positively. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the quality of other dishes, specifically the hollow cream cheese wontons and the dry bourbon chicken. This suggests potential inconsistencies in food preparation or the quality of certain menu items.

As a Chinese restaurant, FU SHING likely offers a menu featuring a variety of classic Chinese-American cuisine. This typically includes appetizers, soups, various entrees with chicken, beef, pork, and seafood, as well as rice and noodle dishes. Based on the reviews, items such as shrimp fried rice (made with yellow rice), shrimp rolls, cream cheese wontons, and bourbon chicken are part of their menu. The mention of duck sauce suggests it is available as a condiment, often served with fried appetizers and egg rolls (though this reviewer used it with rice and shrimp rolls). The "BIG Chinese tea with lemon" is also a notable beverage offering. Potential customers may want to inquire about the full range of their menu and any daily specials.

Information regarding the environment and ambiance of FU SHING is not detailed in the provided reviews. Local Chinese restaurants typically offer a casual setting for dining, although the focus of the provided feedback is primarily on the food and service interactions. Customers interested in dining in may want to contact the restaurant directly to inquire about their dine-in options and the atmosphere of their establishment.

In terms of services, FU SHING clearly offers takeout, as neither review explicitly mentions dining in. The positive reviewer seems to be a regular customer who enjoys their takeout. Whether they offer delivery services is not mentioned in the provided information. Customers seeking delivery should contact the restaurant directly to inquire about their delivery范围 and any associated fees or minimum order requirements.

Features that might distinguish FU SHING, based on the positive review, include their flavorful shrimp fried rice made with yellow rice, their shrimp rolls, and the availability of "BIG Chinese tea with lemon." These items seem to be particularly appreciated by at least one customer. The friendliness of the front counter staff, as mentioned in the negative review, could also be considered a positive feature of their service. However, the reported issues with the cream cheese wontons and bourbon chicken indicate potential weaknesses in other areas of their food preparation.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for FU SHING based on the provided reviews. Chinese restaurants often offer lunch specials, combination meals, or other discounts. To find out if FU SHING has any current special offers or promotions, it is recommended to contact them directly at the provided phone numbers or inquire when placing an order.

In conclusion, FU SHING in Charlotte, NC, is a Chinese restaurant that has received contrasting reviews from recent customers. While one patron considers it the best Chinese spot in Charlotte, praising specific dishes like the shrimp fried rice (with yellow rice) and shrimp rolls, another reported significant dissatisfaction with items like the cream cheese wontons and bourbon chicken, despite acknowledging the friendliness of the front counter staff. Potential customers should be aware of these varying experiences when considering ordering from FU SHING. In my opinion, THEE BEST Chinese spot in the Charlotte!! I’m originally from up north and this is as close as you will get. Yes the shrimp fried rice is flavorful and made with yellow rice!! (Yes yellow rice makes a difference 🙌🏾, it’s the best 😂) oh and they have shrimp rolls! I always get extra duck sauce for my rice and shrimp rolls 😋😋 To top it all off, you gotta get the BIG Chinese tea from the fridge with the lemon floating at the top. This is truly a Chinese restaurant classic & 10/10 recommend.

The food is tasty, and large portions at a good price. I always get takeout and it’s ready very quickly.

Mongolian beef for $6.45 (lunch special) and veggie chow mein. Hands down, best mongolian beef I've had in the area. Better than pf changs and much cheaper. Even the rice was perfect. same quality i have at home and it didn't crust right away after being exposed to air like other Chinese places. Definitely will return for this dish again and possibly try some more stuff on the menu. Glad I decided to try it out and its such a close drive from the house!

OMG! THE WORST CHINESE FOOD EVER. My husband picked up a simple order of wings and fried rice. The chicken was old OR the haven't changed the cooking oil OR they have a pile reserved for non-regular customers. It's Friday evening and there were plenty customers so why do I have old food. My husband had shrimp in garlic sauce, why is the shrimp soooo mushy. not fresh, I would really like a refund because I threw it all away. Do better! Buyers beware! I would not recommend this place to an enemy. Maybe once upon a time they were okay, but Damn! They really must have a zero star rating or a mad frowning emoji because I didn't want to give one star.
