About Fu Sheng

Welcome to Fu Sheng, a Chinese restaurant located at 4071 Lee Rd in Cleveland, Ohio (OH 44128), USA. As a local establishment within the Chinese restaurant category, Fu Sheng has served the community for several years, with some customers attesting to the quality of their food. You can contact Fu Sheng by phone at (216) 752-9986 or their mobile number +1 216-752-9986 to inquire about their menu and services. However, recent customer reviews present a concerning picture, particularly regarding their service and the environment of the restaurant.

One detailed and highly critical review highlighted a significant issue regarding delivery services. The customer reported calling Fu Sheng and experiencing rudeness after discovering that delivery might no longer be offered. They specifically mentioned that if delivery has been discontinued, this change should be clearly communicated on their platforms to avoid customer inconvenience. The phone interaction itself was described as unprofessional, with someone answering with a simple "HELLO?!" before passing the phone to another employee. Despite these negative service interactions, this long-time customer acknowledged that "the food is good," separating the quality of the cuisine from the poor service. However, they noted a "hell of a decline in their service since Covid," around the time the restaurant was reportedly operating solely out of a window in a large plaza. This suggests that the shift in operational mode during the pandemic may have negatively impacted their service standards.

The same reviewer went on to describe the environment of the restaurant based on their in-person visits. They stated that "every time you go inside, they have a little boy running around the place, toys everywhere, it’s never clean." This paints a picture of a chaotic and potentially unsanitary dining environment, which could be off-putting to many customers. The reviewer expressed a reluctance to share this information but felt compelled to due to the severity of their negative experiences. Adding to their dissatisfaction, they reported receiving "cold ass food" via delivery at some point, despite the earlier mention of potential delivery discontinuation. This final point strongly contributed to their decision to never order from Fu Sheng again.

In contrast to this highly negative account, another reviewer offered a more positive, albeit brief, assessment. They specifically praised the "Singapore Mei fun" as "great" and the "egg rolls" as "also excellent." This suggests that Fu Sheng may have some standout dishes that are well-received by customers. This reviewer also noted that "the prices are decent," indicating that Fu Sheng might offer good value for the food it provides.

The contrasting reviews highlight a significant dichotomy in customer experiences at Fu Sheng. While some dishes, like the Singapore Mei fun and egg rolls, are considered excellent and the prices are reasonable, there are serious concerns about the service, professionalism, and cleanliness of the establishment. The negative review points to rude phone etiquette, potential misinformation about delivery services, a chaotic and unclean interior environment with children present, and instances of cold food being delivered. This suggests a lack of consistency in service and potentially in food quality or delivery handling.

The information available does not provide a clear picture of the current dine-in environment beyond the cleanliness issues and the presence of children and toys mentioned in the negative review. Potential dine-in customers should be aware of this feedback, as it suggests a less than ideal ambiance. It is unclear if the restaurant has a dedicated waiting area or if the general dining space is affected by these issues.

The services offered by Fu Sheng appear to include takeout, and historically may have included delivery. However, the conflicting information about delivery suggests that local users should confirm the availability of this service directly with the restaurant. The positive mention of quick phone answering by one reviewer (despite the subsequent rudeness) indicates that they are reachable by phone for orders and inquiries. The service aspect is clearly a point of concern based on the negative review.

There is no information provided in the reviews regarding any promotional offers or specials at Fu Sheng. Local users interested in discounts or special menus would need to contact the restaurant directly to inquire.

In conclusion, Fu Sheng Chinese Restaurant in Cleveland, OH, presents a mixed bag of customer experiences. While some dishes like the Singapore Mei fun and egg rolls are praised for their taste and the prices are considered decent, there are significant red flags raised by other customers. The negative feedback regarding rude and unprofessional service, a potentially unclean environment with children present, and issues with delivery (including possible discontinuation without notice and delivery of cold food) are serious concerns. Local users considering Fu Sheng should weigh these contrasting opinions carefully. If you are primarily interested in takeout of specific praised dishes and are willing to overlook potential service issues, Fu Sheng might be an option. However, those who value professional service, a clean dining environment, and reliable delivery should exercise caution and perhaps consider contacting the restaurant directly to address these concerns before placing an order or visiting.

First of all…if you don’t deliver anymore, say that on your platforms. I called and they were rude. As hell. Someone else answered the phone “HELLO?!” Then passed the phone to an employee that works there. I’ve been eating their food for years, the food is good, won’t take that away from them. But their service is terrible now. It’s been a hell of a decline in their service since Covid (which around the time they were only serving out of a window in this big ass plaza). You know what let’s talk about it. Every time you go inside, they have a little boy running around the place, toys everywhere, it’s never clean. I tried to spare y’all. But this is terrible. And got the nerve to deliver cold ass food. Never again.

My brother ordered the large sesame chicken with white rice ($9.95) and 2 shrimp egg rolls ($1.35 each). The shrimp egg roll was crispy but needed more shrimp. The sesame chicken had an orange after taste which I don't think I've ever tasted from when I've eaten it at other places. The sauce on them was loose which I'm used to thick sauces being on them. The order ended up being $15.25 after tax. They delivered within the 40 minute time frame they stated. Overall good dinner.

My sesame chicken tasted old like it was cooked the day before. The worst part was they put salt on my Chinese donuts instead of sugar. I bit into it and almost threw up. They wouldn’t give me a refund but offered an exchange but I declined. I’m totally disgusted I don’t want anything else from this establishment.
