Customer reviews for Fu's Palace Restaurant present contrasting experiences. One reviewer described their experience as "completely and utterly disgusting" and the food as "tasteless and chewy," particularly mentioning the beef. They reported having to spit out the beef and ultimately throwing away their $73 order, deeming it inedible. This reviewer also claimed to have gotten sick a couple of hours after tasting the food, despite acknowledging that the people working there were nice.
Conversely, another customer had a very positive experience with a takeaway order. They found the tangerine chicken to be "some of the best" they had tasted and described their sweet and sour pork as "delicious and very fresh tasting." They also praised the rice and other dishes as "extremely tasty." This reviewer, who wished they lived closer to eat there regularly, found the prices to be reasonable compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area.
Based on these reviews, opinions on the food quality at Fu's Palace Restaurant vary significantly. While one customer had a highly negative experience, citing issues with taste and texture and even reporting illness, another found the takeaway food to be delicious and reasonably priced. Customer Reviews
I’m not sure if some of the reviews are fake or paid but this restaurant despite the nice people working in it, it’s completely and utterly disgusting and to be closed immediately. Absolutely tasteless and chewy, had to spit all of the beef I tried out, Horrible food. What a shame. Really terrible. I just spent ..$73 to throw everything in the trash. It was not edible. The people are nice but the food sucks. Really really sucks. Update, a couple of hours after tasting the food I got sick from it.
Ordered takeaway from here and the food was delicious. My wife got the tangerine chicken and it was some of the best I've tasted. My sweet and sour pork was also delicious and very fresh tasting despite the car ride back to the house. The rice and other dishes were also extremely tasty. I wish I lived closer because I'd definitely be eating here regularly. Prices were reasonable compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area, which overall are quite high nowadays.
SO GOOD!! Orange chicken was nice and crispy. Definitely satisfied my pregnancy craving for good Chinese food!
Great take out. Dish was a full portion packed with everything in the Chow Fun Combo. No skimping. It was one of the best food take outs in a long while was two meals. Tasty, and plenty of noodles. I was a great experience. To top it off a great price! I will be back!
I’ve been going to Foods Palace for 30 years. If you want to experience what real New York style Chinese food is about. The process. Then this is the place to experience all that. Once you have that taste, everything else is… Well… Everything else. It’s clean fresh food. The eggrolls are New York style. They’re larger. They’re more filling. They have a distinct taste that you carry with you for years. That’s been my experience. The owners are exceptional people. They are so damn hard-working. And all they wanna do is make sure that the customer is happy. I’ve introduced handful of friends to this restaurant. Friends that are chefs. One person was amazed with the broth for the wonton soup. That was a stand out for him. Having that experience, he knew they cared about what they prepared. I moved back to New York for a couple of years. And I did not find one Chinese restaurant in New York… That matched, but they’re doing on pico. One friend of mine out of the blue said that she is now a regular at Foods ever since I introduced her to it. And they do a bang up, take out business. If you want to go to some place, that’s relaxing you’re just there to have fun. Have a good meal. This is the place. Whatever you do, you go there you have to order the eggrolls and the wonton soup. Have that first. Then make your decision. Do you stay? Do you order one or two more dishes. Oh, you decided that it’s not for you which is fine. But you’re going to be swept into a really nice wonderful experience. And no, the owners didn’t pay me to say this.
