They specifically ordered the beef with oyster sauce and shrimp egg foo young for around $16, noting the generous portion size, which was ample enough to share with a partner. The reviewer also praised the abundance of beef and shrimp in their dishes, describing them as "so yummy." This feedback underscores the restaurant's commitment to providing substantial portions at reasonable prices, ensuring a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

This provides a convenient option for those who wish to enjoy their meal on-site. The availability of ample seating suggests that customers can usually find a comfortable spot to dine, even during busier times. Furthermore, the restaurant boasts a diverse menu, ensuring that patrons with various tastes and preferences will likely find something to their liking. As one reviewer noted, "u didn't need to worry finding the one that matched with ur taste." This wide selection is a significant feature, catering to a broad range of culinary desires.
The environment of Fu Da Chinese Restaurant is described positively in customer reviews. The restaurant is noted to be "clean," which contributes to a pleasant dining experience for those choosing to eat in. Additionally, the staff is consistently praised for their kindness and friendliness. One reviewer specifically mentioned the "kind and friendly" staff, highlighting the welcoming and positive service they received. This focus on customer service enhances the overall appeal of Fu Da Chinese Restaurant.
For the convenience of dine-in customers, Fu Da Chinese Restaurant also provides restroom facilities. However, it's noted that customers should ask for the keys to access them. While a minor detail, the availability of restrooms adds to the overall convenience for those dining at the restaurant.
Another enthusiastic reviewer expressed their love for Fu Da Chinese Restaurant, describing the experience with a unique and intriguing simile: "it feels like you are looking in the wrong end of binoculars!" While the exact meaning is open to interpretation, it conveys a sense of something special or surprisingly delightful about the restaurant. This reviewer also praised the "amazing food" and the "low key" atmosphere, suggesting a relaxed and unpretentious dining environment. They specifically recommended the kung pao chicken combo, indicating it as a standout dish. Additionally, they sampled the crab rangoon ordered by a friend and found it to be "very delicious" and "crispy," further highlighting the quality of their appetizers.
Adding a touch of whimsy to the dining experience, this reviewer also pointed out a unique highlight: the straws served with sodas. They described them as "the cutest straw," expressing a delightful surprise over this small detail. This attention to even minor aspects of the customer experience suggests a thoughtful approach by the restaurant. The reviewer also noted the absence of music, contributing to a "peaceful vibe," which may appeal to those seeking a quieter dining atmosphere.
The affordability of Fu Da Chinese Restaurant was once again emphasized by this reviewer, who mentioned that their kung pao chicken combo cost around $10 and was a "lot of food" for the price. This reinforces the earlier feedback about the restaurant offering excellent value for money.
Adding an intriguing and potentially promotional element, the reviewer shared a rumor they had heard: "if you walk from the door to the counter in five steps or less.. your food is free!!" However, there are specific conditions attached to this rumored promotion: no knocking into other patrons is allowed, and no one can assist the person taking the steps (no carrying, etc.). It's important to note that this is presented as a rumor, and customers may want to inquire with the restaurant directly to confirm its validity and any specific rules or limitations. If genuine, this playful promotion could add an element of fun and potential reward for customers visiting Fu Da Chinese Restaurant.
In conclusion, Fu Da Chinese Restaurant in Burlington, VT, appears to be a highly regarded local establishment offering delicious and affordable Asian cuisine. With a diverse menu, generous portions, a clean environment, and friendly service, it caters to both dine-in and takeout customers. Popular dishes like the beef with oyster sauce, shrimp egg foo young, kung pao chicken combo, and crispy crab rangoon have garnered positive feedback. The peaceful atmosphere and unique touches like the "cute straws" add to the overall charm. While primarily known for its value and quality food, the rumored "five-step to free food" promotion, if true, adds an extra layer of intrigue and fun. For local users seeking a satisfying and budget-friendly Chinese dining experience in Burlington, Fu Da Chinese Restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Delicious asian food in Burlington! Moreover, the food was affordable. I ordered the beef with oyster sauce and shrimp egg foo young for $16-ish. The portion was big, u could enjoy the food with ur partner. The beef and the shrimp were also abundant, so yummy. U could dine in since there were plenty tables in the restaurant, even though most people prefered taking out. Beside plenty tables, the resto had various kind of food, so u didn't need to worry finding the one that matched with ur taste. The resto was clean, and the staffs were so kind and friendly. There were restrooms in the resto, but u should ask for the keys. Would love to eat again in this resto if i came back to Burlington. Yeah

Great, delicious, and affordable Chinese take out. They were very friendly and the amount of food you get is really impressive. Come here to avoid the overpriced stuff on church street.
AMAZING chinese takeout! they are always super friendly whenever we go in to pick up our orders. it takes them 15-20 minutes to make your order and it’s always so good! the quantities are worth the money. this is my go-to for chinese takeout every time!
I’ve lived in BTV for a bit. Used to really not like this place. But I moved nearby recently and out of desperation I’ve ordered a few times. Idk if they have new mgmt or what but it’s fire now. I got the beef with oyster sauce. Beef if tender, plenty of veg. Total W. Thanks guys and gals.
