About Frying Lemon Fish
Welcome to Frying Lemon Fish, a Chinese restaurant located at 2616 Colby Ave in Everett, Washington, 98201, USA. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, Frying Lemon Fish can be contacted at (425) 610-6868 or via mobile at +1 425-610-6868 for inquiries and orders. Based on recent online customer reviews, the experiences at Frying Lemon Fish present a mixed picture, with high praise for some dishes and significant criticism for others.
One customer shared a very positive first-time dining experience at Frying Lemon Fish. They were "truly impressed" with the restaurant, particularly highlighting the "Szechuan-style dishes." This reviewer found these dishes to be "absolutely delicious," noting that they were flavorful without being excessively spicy, making them enjoyable for both adults and children in their group. The entire family loved the meal, and the reviewer expressed a strong intention to return to the restaurant in the future, indicating a high level of satisfaction with their initial experience.
In contrast, another customer who dined at Frying Lemon Fish during an early Sunday dinner, when the restaurant was not busy, reported a much less favorable experience. This reviewer ordered several dishes: the dried shrimps seaweed fried rice, basil beef stir fry, and spicy beef noodle soup. Among these, the fried rice was the only dish deemed "eatable." The basil beef stir fry faced significant criticism, with the reviewer stating that the beef had been "soaked in baking soda too long," resulting in a loss of meat texture and some pieces that were not fresh. This suggests a potential issue with the preparation or quality of the beef used in this dish.
The spicy beef noodle soup also received negative feedback. The reviewer described it as "too soggy" and "too oily," and further noted that the vegetables in the soup were not fresh and were "un-eatable." This indicates concerns about the freshness of ingredients and the overall execution of this particular dish. The reviewer concluded by expressing their disappointment with the "quality of ingredients" and hoped for improvement in the restaurant's food quality.
Considering these two contrasting reviews, it appears that the quality and consistency of the food at Frying Lemon Fish may vary. The positive review highlights the potential for delicious and family-friendly Szechuan-style dishes, while the negative review raises concerns about the freshness and preparation of ingredients in other menu items such as the basil beef stir fry and spicy beef noodle soup. The dried shrimps seaweed fried rice seems to have been a point of agreement as being at least acceptable.
Regarding the environment of Frying Lemon Fish, neither of the provided reviews offers any specific details. One review mentions a relatively quiet dining time ("place wasn’t busy just 2 tables counting our"), which could suggest a more relaxed atmosphere during off-peak hours. However, there is no information about the restaurant's decor, ambiance, or overall setting. Therefore, an objective description of the environment cannot be provided based on the available information.
In terms of services, Frying Lemon Fish appears to offer dine-in service, as both reviewers describe dining at the restaurant. One reviewer specifically mentioned it was their first time "dining at this restaurant." The lack of any mention of takeout or delivery in these reviews does not necessarily mean these services are not offered, but the available information focuses solely on the dine-in experience. The positive reviewer's satisfaction suggests that the service was likely adequate, contributing to their overall positive impression. The negative reviewer did not explicitly comment on the service itself, focusing instead on the food quality.
As for features, the positive review highlights the Szechuan-style dishes as a potential specialty, noting their flavorful yet not overly spicy nature. This could be a key feature that attracts customers looking for authentic Szechuan cuisine that is also palatable for a wider audience, including children. The menu also includes dishes like dried shrimps seaweed fried rice, basil beef stir fry, and spicy beef noodle soup, indicating a variety of Chinese culinary offerings. However, the inconsistent quality reported for some of these dishes might detract from them being considered reliable features.
Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided text. The reviews focus on the individual dining experiences and the quality of the food served, without mentioning any ongoing specials, discounts, or other promotional offers that Frying Lemon Fish might have. Local users interested in potential promotions or special deals would need to contact the restaurant directly at (425) 610-6868.
In conclusion, Frying Lemon Fish in Everett, WA, offers a range of Chinese dishes, including potentially noteworthy Szechuan-style options that have been praised for their flavor and moderate spice level. However, recent reviews also indicate potential inconsistencies in food quality, with concerns raised about the freshness and preparation of ingredients in dishes like the basil beef stir fry and spicy beef noodle soup. The dried shrimps seaweed fried rice appears to be a more consistently acceptable choice. Local users considering Frying Lemon Fish may want to inquire about the preparation of specific dishes and perhaps try the Szechuan offerings based on the positive feedback received. For more information or to place an order, please contact the restaurant at (425) 610-6868.

Customer Reviews
It was our first time dining at this restaurant, and we were truly impressed. The Szechuan-style dishes were absolutely delicious—flavorful without being too spicy, so even the kids could enjoy everything. Everyone loved it, and we’ll definitely be coming back for more! 😋
We were there on early Sunday dinner, place wasn’t busy just 2 tables counting our. We ordered the dried shrimps seaweed fried rice, basil beef stir fly and spicy beef noodle soup. The fried rice is the only one eatable, The beef used in the stir fly was soak in baking soda too long, it lost the meat texture and some pieces were not as fresh. The noodle soup was too soggy+ too oily and the veggies were not fresh and they were un-eatable. Very disappointed with their quality of ingredients. Hope they will improve on their foods quality.
Tbh, I didn't have much hope finding good Chinese food in Everett. But this place is the best if not one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to (I've been to many). They do use szechuan peppercorn in a lot of things, so just come expecting it. We had the roasted pork ribs, hot & sour soup, egg drop soup, and the cabbage.
I swear this is the BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER EATEN! Everything was so delicious. They don't compromise spicy levels, which makes their food are so authentic, not Americanized kinda Chinese restaurants. All servers are very nice people. We left full with leftover for a day or two. We will make this only our go-to Chinese restaurant. I'm so happy we found it. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work. Wish they had dim-sum tho. Maybe in the future? Yes, please!! Fingers crossed.
After outlets shopping , we found a restaurant and didn't expect it to be really good. The service and taste are fantastic, it's a great Chinese restaurant! So in the future, after outlets shopping, you won't be afraid of not being able to find delicious food😊
